Re: Forgotten Warriors
Billy Graham is an excellent choice, I don't feel Chacon is though. He's talked about plenty especially among west coast fans.
Gilberto Roman is forgotten sadly. He should absolutely be in the hall of fame. He's probably the best ever at 115. Santos Laciar is another one. I'd add a couple of the finest Asian boxers of all-time in Masao Ohba and Chang Jung Koo. Ohba, unfortunately died too young but gave some memorable fights and was a rare talent. Chang is a legitimately great fighter IMO.
I also feel Luis Rodriguez is criminally overlooked.

Roman was a beautiful stylist, great to watch
Re: Forgotten Warriors
Hilario Zapata.Good skilled southpaw.
Re: Forgotten Warriors
Jimmy Barry. Laszlo Papp. George Dixon. Everybody previously mentioned. And on and on and on.
My 21 year old and his friends think George Foreman is the grill guy. Olympic gold medal winner? Two time heavyweight champion? One of the most feared athletes of all time? Who knew?
A sad fact of existence is that over 99% of us will be forgotten, sometimes in only a generation. We're doing our part to battle the trend just by having these discussions, but we're fighting the tides of history.

Every man dies 3 deaths. When he learns that he will die one day. When he actually dies. And the last time anybody speaks his name.
In that last sense the mention of them means they're not all the way dead yet. The Legend lives on.

Joe Brown. - Lives in the shadows as he champ in such a celebrated division with some of the most iconic fighters in history.
Sot Chitlada - Cracking fighter, but was prominent around about the time Tyson was rampaging through the HW division, so due to that, not being a heavyweight and not hailing from the West, often gets overlooked.

Re: Forgotten Warriors
Elisha Obed.
His run to the title was full of high level wins and he was a fighting machine who was a national hero in the Bahamas. Until I borrowed Tony Gardner's personal copy of their 154 lb title fight and posted it on YouTube, there was no footage of his magnificent prime. Only footage of his downslide as a clutch and grab burned out journeyman getting chopped down by young and upcoming Middleweights.
