Anthony Small - opinions ?

Post by Mensa07 »

only caught the last couple rounds of this fight last night and thats all I've seen of Smalls but he definitely has an eye-catching style. Opponent was very static (& prob not that good?) so probably made it easy for him to look good. Could have swore he was a brendan ingle fighter but apparently not? Whats the word on this guy, is he a highly rated up & comer or am I just being taken in by a showboater vs poor comp?

ps. wtf was Crouch's robotics celebration all about then?

he is a 'show pony' and wont go far. Someone with a good jab, tight defence and good feet will school him one day.

I like him personally, he's got some skills and power for sure though will inevitably pay for his lack of orthodox defence. Definately someone I'd like to see do well.

small is a class fighter and is definately one to watch. the power he got into those shots in round 6 were massive. i know a lot of people dont rate him but i seriously think he can go a long way.

From what i've seen of Small he looks like he could go far, I think he needs to step in class sooner rather than later, before he delvelops too many bad habits (He's already got some).
His power looks good and his confidence is sky high, If his chin is good then he will obviously be able to step up, will have to wait and see what happens when he gets a hard one on the whiskers.
