Tough Journeyman with notable wins/fights - do you know some?

Post by dagilechia »

Inspired by the guys like Kamil Sokołowski, Joey Dawejko etc i would like to know about more of this type of fighters (not only HWs). Someone in the Sokołowski topic mentioned Brett Fidoe who is 13-53-3 yet has some wins over undefeated prospects.

I can list some from the Polish scene

Robert Talarek - 24(16) 13(1) 2
Countries he fought in: 🇵🇱 16x, 🇩🇪 4x, 🇬🇧 4x, 🇫🇷 3x, 🇫🇮 2x, 🇭🇺 2x, 🇸🇪 2x, 🇧🇪 1x, 🇨🇿 1x, 🇳🇱 1x, 🇪🇸 1x, 🇨🇭 1x
notable wins/fights (chronological order):
vs Kamil Szeremeta - 2(0) 0 0 - MD 4 Loss
vs Denis Krieger - 10(7) 1(0) 0 - MD 4 Draw

vs King Davidson - 18(12) 1(0) 0 - MD 8 Win
vs Goekalp Oezekler - 21(10) 1(1) 1 - KO 8 Win
vs Norbert Dąbrowski - 20(8) 6(0) 1 - UD 8 Win
vs Frank Haroche - 41(17) 16(3) 5 - TKO 8 Win - vacant IBO Inter-Conti Title
vs Patryk Szymański - 19(10) 1(1) 0 - TKO 5 Win
notes:
-He is a full time electrician in a coal mine
-His 5 round bout vs Patryk Szymański resulted in 10 knockdowns, Szymański was down 6 times and Talarek 4 times
-The score judges robbed him several times

Bartłomiej Grafka - 22(10) 34(3) 3
Countries he fought in: 🇵🇱 23x, 🇩🇪 10x, 🇬🇧 9x, 🇭🇺 5x, 🇸🇪 3x, 🇨🇦 2x, 🇨🇿 2x, 🇩🇰 2x, 🇫🇷 2x, 🇮🇹 1x, 🇽🇰 1x

vs Andrzej Sołdra - 7(4) 0 0 - MD 6 Draw
vs Dustin Dirks - 27(20) 1(1) 1 - UD 6 Win
vs Paweł Głażewski - 23(5) 4(2) 0 - SD 8 Win

vs Joshua Buatsi - 4(3) 0 0 - PTS 6 Loss
vs Erkan Tuncel - 6(5) 0 0 - TKO 7 Win
notes:
-He arguably defeated Robin Krasniqi but the judges in Germany seen it otherwise

Łukasz Rusiewicz - 22(13) 31(7) 0
Countries he fought in: 🇵🇱 26x, 🇩🇪 11x, 🇬🇧 5x, 🇨🇿 4x, 🇫🇮 1x, 🇫🇷 1x, 🇮🇪 1x, 🇱🇺 1x, 🇷🇺 1x, 🇨🇭 1x, 🇺🇦 1x
notable wins/fights (chronological order):
vs Izuagbe Ugonoh - 8(6) 0 0 - UD 6 Loss

vs Florian Sparakowski - 7(6) 0 0 - TKO 1 Win
notes:
-His loss to Mateusz Rzadkosz who is now 10-0-1 was very controversial

some good calls there. wonder where those guys could get if fought as the A side. They would certainly have much better records at least.

Didn't he once get counted out for doing press ups when he got knocked down?

There was a guy named Dave Jaco who was mostly a career loser, but he has a victory over Razor Ruddock.

Notable wins might be a shorter list, but Journeyman with notable fights. Hell you could go on and on with that.

Ricky Sismundo from Philippines. 35(17KO) - 14 (5KO) - 3.
He is not exactly journeyman, but this man travelled all over the world and gave everybody a tough fight. IMO he won against DIerry Jean and Jose Felix. Remembering watching that fights. He is also pretty entertaining to watch. Wondering how much he got paid for fights. Deserves every dollar :box: :box: :box:

Jesse Burnett was my favorite. Terribly managed and frequently robbed during a golden era at 75.
