Pacquiao V Thurman UK TV
Re: Pacquiao V Thurman UK TV
Good fight, i had PacMan winning by 3 rounds. He controlled most of the fight, Thurman had some good moments, but he also looked slow at times. Pacquiao's footwork kept Thurman off his game and showed at 40 Pacquiao still has it in him to fight at a high pace for 12 full rounds.
Spence and Crawford will be tougher challenges for Pacquiao IMO. He said post fight he wont figjt again until 2020, by which time he will be 41. Will be interesting to see if he fights either of them next.

Let's see what motivates Paq, the only legacy fight out there is PBF, maybe Crawford too.
Everything else he has done and proved.
Money wise PBF again is the big one, and with Saudi money, Khan could be in second place.

PAC is another cheating scumbag. Is impressive the degree they’ll test drugs on a fighter coming up the weights and in age though

Re: Pacquiao V Thurman UK TV
Absolutely, but there are romours Mayweather needs cash, seems hard to believe given his earnings over the years, but he spends like a moron so who knows. I really dont think Mayweather wants to risk his perfect boxing record, and even though je won the fight with Manny very comfortably, that was several years ago, he is inactive now, looked shopworn against McGregor, so Pacquiao could take his scalp in a rematch. He wont risk it IMO.
Apparantly he is persuing Khabib's team for a boxing match. That wouod generate him big money, but the figjt would be poss poor, Khabibs just not a boxer.

Re: Pacquiao V Thurman UK TV
Wasn't a classic but it was closely fought and I thought the right man got the nod, I agreed with the 115-112 cards in Pacquiao's favour, he was the busier guy, his flurries doing enough to bother Thurman and win most rounds, great start from Pacquiao scoring a knockdown in the 1st, nice straight right sending Thurman to the canvas, after that it was a case of Pacquiao getting off his cluster of shots quicker, combinations, not always getting through but it was a lot more than Thurman was doing in the early goings
Thurman started to find his range a bit around the 5th, landing the jab and timing the right cross, finally starting to get to grips of the fight, Pacquiao was still dangerous though and kept bursting into life to keep things in his favour, Thurman the younger man just wasn't busy enough and was outworked for long spells, Pacquiao hurt Thurman with a right to the body in the 9th and not for the first time in his career Thurman had to get on his bike to survive, he has good survival instincts does Thurman but never pressed enough to pressure Pacquiao and maybe score a KD to turn things in his favour
I fancied Thurman strongly in this one but credit to Pacquiao he deserved the W and holds a proper World title again, the lack of VADA testing is a bit suspect though, still Thurman should've worked harder to keep his title

I felt as though Thurman forgot he knew how to Box on the backfoot in the opening few rounds. Then after rd 5, he seemed to started winning a few rounds.

Says the Anthony Joshua fan boy still salty he lost to burrito boy.
Re: Pacquiao V Thurman UK TV
Going to watch this later. Was really confident in Pacman because of how bad Thurman was against Lopez plus the fact that Thurman has no desire for the sport.
Thurman has had some good wins but that's it for him, you won't see him fight again.
As for Pac yeah I've been suspect of him particularly the Alex Ariza era when he beat the living shit out of Cotto, but the mans a absolute legend of the game. Yeah I have ripped into Thurman but he beat an unbeaten near prime fighter.
I'd actually like Manny to go out now but I think he will fight the Spence v Porter winner next spring.
There could be truth in the Khan rumours but I can't trust anything Khan says.

At least Joshua has Vada testing for a few weeks before a fight. I'm not sure what testing Manny has now but there are a lot more suspicious fighters out there.Ricky wrote: ↑21 Jul 2019, 08:56danconnollyeire wrote: ↑21 Jul 2019, 05:18 PAC is another cheating scumbag. Joshua should figure out what Pac is taking. It might give him mad boxing skills. #MagicBeans
Re: Pacquiao V Thurman UK TV
Was a good fight. Pac took the first half well but looked to be resting and just doing enough in latter half. Age would do that to you. I expected Thurman to do more and come stronger after a shaky start but Pac managed to keep him off and even hurt him with a body shot later in what was 8th or 9th. Pac took some flush right hands as well in the 2nd half but these were too infrequent from a Thurman standpoint. I don't know much about the in's and out's of drugs and PED's but in this game I wouldn't be surprised if everyone was on it Either way what a legend Pacman is! I hope he retires on this win though because against other young hungry topflight fighters (Spence/Crawford) he wont be able to take half of the fight off.

Thurman was a live dog at all times in this fight. Gave it his best shot. Good showing from both boxers. It was an easy fight to score maybe bar 1 or 2 rounds.Andrew wrote: ↑21 Jul 2019, 09:04 Going to watch this later. went with pac pts over on the current scene poll.
pre injury problems i would have tipped thurman.
should have given thurman another warm up or two.
money talks again.
