British Heavyweights

Its been over a year since i posted about the british heavyweights some of them have lost, stopped fighting and theres some new heavyweights about. Id like to know your opinion on them or if youve seen any of them fight.

David Allen - he beat larry olubamiwo but hasnt fought in a year however, he does have a fight scheduled in august. I read that he was struggling to get fights and added on weight.

Kash Ali - he beat kamil sokolowski who lost to dillian whyte , drew with dominic akinlade and beat adam machaj

Dominic Akinlade - drew with kamil sokolowski in his last fight but lost alot of weight was 19 20 stone but 16 stone for his last fight has a fight scheduled

Aj Carter - got koed badly in his last fight scheduled to fight larry olubamiwo

Adam Machaj - lost to kamil sokolowski but has won his last 2 and beat larry olubamiwo

Gary Cornish - won a ibo international title so im not sure if he should be on here but he hasnt really fought anyone yet

Hughie Fury - beat Andriy Rudenko who lost to lucas browne havent seen the fight but read hughie fought good

Anthony Joshua - destroyed kevin johnson i dont think hes a prospect anymore

David Abraham - also beat larry olubamiwo he is 29 years old but read hes been sparring bermaine stevrne dont know how good abraham is though as i havent seen him fight

Ryan Fuller - won on his debut by ko is 32 years old i think he had a good amatuer career will be keeping an eye on him but not sure if hell go far

Young Fury - tysons younger brother won 4 fights lost 1 doesnt really look that good but is only 19 so plenty of time to improve

Oli Thompson - 35 years old put him in because hes had 1 fight but i doubt hell fight as its nearly been a year since his last one

Dillian Whyte - comeback from suspension and won 5 against decnt opposition hopefully will fight anthony joshua (i think joshua will ko him but will be fun)

Nick Webb - won his first 2 fights by ko in round 1 seems to have had a good amatuer career

DL Jones - won 3 hes 33 years old and is scheduled to fight in a week

Christian Kinsiona - beat james barnes on points dont really know much about him and james barnes has been koed by ryan fuller and young fury

You should do one for every division.

Joshua is out the prospect stage now. Cornish is very protected. I like the looks of Hughie. Sensible boxer. Will probably make euro level at least. I think we will find out very soon about Dillian whyte

There are still lots of promising heavies in the UK but they don't fight enough or take 50/50 fights so most will go nowhere slowly sadly its got so much potential this division but their just not active enough.

McDermott ate the Cornish. Got confused in negotiations.

I don't think McDermott will ever fight again and I have my doubts about some others inactivity is killing this division and wasting the chances of the lads in it.

I do think Hughie looks good, Whyte also looks decent. Think both will make European level. AJ he clearly posses the most talent and hopefully he's Britain's next big heavyweight hope.

Im not sure about car spencer he seems to have disappeared but dave allens scheduled to fight soon and i think dave allen, ryan fuller, kash ali and carl baker have been sparring with each other because i seen a pic of them on bakers twitter.

You're right, i knew i missed somebody out its probably because hes not on the english rankings hes on the irish one and when i was looking at the fighters i was looking at the english rankings.

Looking at the british heavyweights we have some very decent prospects coming through:

David Allen- 5 wins 1 draw (looks ok, hes also gone to the fury camp after his draw and seems to be taking it seriously now)

Kash Ali- 7 wins (got his his first ko, i was actually there and his fight was the most entertaining)

Eli Frankham- 2 wins (not sure if hes still fighting, but is young)

Andy Jones- 2 wins (like Eli Frankham hes got 2 point wins, haven't seen him fight tbh)

Dominic Akinlade- 2 wins (checked him on the internet looks big and strong)

AJ Carter- 6 wins (knocked 4 guys out)

Adam Machaj- 3 wins (all wins by ko and looks powerful/big on youtube)

Carl Spencer- 4 wins (hasnt fought since september after beating carl baker)

Gary Cornish- 18 wins (not sure if i should put him here since hes had 18 fights)

Hughie Fury- 14 wins (watched him on the weekend and he looked poor i think danny hughes beat him, but havent seen the replay on tv)

Anthony Joshua- 5 wins (olympic gold medallist, has a good promoter and has looked very powerful in his fight but still want to see how his stamina and chin is)

Dave Allen 17-5-2 Just lost to Price and looked quite bad not sure if he will fight again

Kash Ali 15-1 Also lost to Price for biting him it was a bizarre fight because he if hung in there probably could've won. Won a Central Area belt.

Eli Frankham - Never really fought again after his first 2 fights most likely retired

Andy Jones 3-0 Seems like hes also retired

Dominic Akinlade 8-3-1 Lost to Gorman and Sandland and got stopped by Bakole not fought since.

Adam Machaj 9-2 Also seems to have retired lost to Kamil and Akinlade. Won a Southern Area belt.

Carl Spencer 4-0-1 Drew with Kamil in 2016 after a 3 year lay off and hasn't fought since.

Gary Cornish 25-2 Retired because of injuries, koed by Joshua and lost on points to Sam Sexton for the British. Won an IBO intercontinental title.

Hughie Fury 23-2 Won a British title knocking out Sexton in 5. Lost to Pulev and Parker on points. Hes only 24 and only lost to top guys however, he is boring to watch. Also won a WBO intercontinental belt.

Anthony Joshua 22-1 Went the furthest compared to everyone on this list (like most people on here predicted) became IBF, WBO and WBA champion. Also won the British, Commonwealth, IBO and WBC international belts. Beaten Whyte, Martin, Cornish, Povetkin, Breazeale, Klitchko, Takam, Parker and lost to Ruiz in a big upset. Looks like he will rematch Ruiz it'll be a tough one but i hope he wins.

He was looking fatigued for about thirty seconds (like he did last night in the fifth) before clobbering Ali. Kash was out on his feet and bit his way out of a ko.

Exactly Price seemed knackered he even said it on youtube like a few days ago, dont get me wrong Ali was knackered as-well but it seemed like it was just starting to get interesting. I wonder who Price fights next i hope its not a Povetkin rematch.

I worked his debut. It was the first bout on the bill and I remember after leaving the ring I was trying to sort out a seat so I could relax and enjoy it then just heard the timekeeper start counting, so immediately turned round and walked back to ringside to be ready to get back in.
