More Interim Craziness from the WBA

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

This Saturday, July 27th, in the Dominican Republic, Jonathan Alonso (18-0, 7 KOs) will face Alberto Puello (16-0, 9 KOs) for the WBA interim belt at 140 pounds. Both men are Dominican born.Alonso has great amateur experience, consisting of 112 fights, amateur World Championships, and Olympic experience.

Alonso is greatly looking forward to the fight, saying “It is my third fight in the Dominican Republic and without a doubt the most important in my professional career. I was born there and I will never forget where I come from, I am fully happy and it is very special for me to be there.”

Puello last fought in November of 2018 when he stopped David Bency. Regis Prograis currently holds the WBA super championship at 140 pounds.

It is all about the money. The WBA is corrupt and so is the other 3.

I do hold the IBF and WBO bodies above the WBA and WBC. But in someways they have their flawess.

But more Belts from them makes perfect sense since they have done this since when they started this Super and Regular BS.

And claiming up for a shot ain't real. Boxing is great when it does it old school. When all this cash flow is dependent on a belt rather then a good resumé, I do loss my temper!

Then again, cause life is what it is, Im going with joy when someone gets a belt. But it has no meaning really. Still Im going with Lineal and paperchamps.

How is the lineal guy in the HW? Ruiz got a claim since He won against AJ, who got it from beating Wlad. How lost his claim to Tyson back in 2015; afterword he lost his s**t and was off for 3 years. So he got one too. So by accounts we got two lineal champs; cause Tyson did not loss ia claim in the ring. And is a top dogs in the div. So yeah, boxing is weird.

Sorry for my rant. WBA pisses me off.

Ruiz beat AJ who beat Wlad (after he already lost to Fury) So he was no longer the man to beat.

So, Wilder won't fight Whyte at any $$$. Righto, then make him the "Franchise Champion" and he doesn't have to face any mandatory opponents, just keep beating up Al's in-house floozies until he is 50-0 and The Best Ever.
Fanbloodytastic.

Edit: I'm way, way off topic here
Sorry about that. Cuppa tea time.
