Why is Scott Harrison refused a license?

I know less about art than I know about pretty much any other subject, but it looks decent to me.

At least you can actually tell who it’s supposed to be, not like some of those rubbish Picasso self portraits where it looks like he just cocked it up by accident but still managed to sell it.

One obvious one was that he bought a nice villa in Spain, didn't pay his taxes on it and had it taken off him, it's been left to rack and ruin now.
He must have earned a few million and the villa certainly doesn't amount to all of that, but when he had the tax bill he didn't have the money to pay it.
I'm guessing he got landed with an income tax bill too, a divorce, coke

ha, call me simple but i think the same. same goes for that 'interpretive dance' or whatever, just looks like someone took a hit and is spazzing out

i just dont 'get' this type of stuff

that said,a guy like etienne, i think his stuff looks like hes really talented. whereas harrison is decent but fairly basic in comparison

hmm, not sure about that, but i imagine hed have ppl who would want to buy his stuff in large part because of who he is. from what ive seen, he looks like a decently talented painter (a bit basic but more aptitude then the average person) and heck if he enjoys it go for it.

would like to see him paint 'crisps, in life and death'

Yes I’ve seen some of his efforts before. There is a lot more depth to them, whereas Harrison’s look very flat and 2D. He can represent an image well but it’s bland and devoid of any feelings. Etienne conveys emotions through the paintings that you just don’t get from Harrison even though they are technically competent.

Never thought I’d indulge in a spot of art appreciation on a boxing forum but there you go!
