Given Hearn was complaining about drugs being an issue in US boxing, it's amazing how many fighters have failed drugs tests and been on his shows since. Including the likes of
Galahad
Browne
Povetkin
Whyte
Rios

Maybe if fighters didn't see cheats being given future opportunities they would think twice... If the commissions won't ban them, the promoters can still cut them off and make an example of them...

I'm pretty sure if I were a World Class boxer I'd be paranoid of the people I have around me for this reason, and wouldn't ingest anything that I didn't see prepared or know EXACTLY what was in it.
After Joshua lost to Ruiz, Whyte did an interview on his own YouTube channel where he very heavy handily accused Joshua of being a PED user and said his loss to Ruiz was down to not being able to use, or not use as many PEDs as he’s been using previously.

Just shocking to throw barbs when you yourself are on them.

Yeah some people tend to do this in life. Think that if they get up in arms about something it proves their innocence on it. Pretty dumb indeed.

Just read that the amount found in his A sample was very small, so it could have been caused by a supplement. I imagine your friend is pulling his hair out at the moment.
The supplements he has been supplied with are batch tested under Informed Sport, 100%. No chance it is a contaminated supp from my mate.

Well that's good. By the way, I know you're very knowledgeable on this kind of thing- what's the main reason people take Dianabol specifically? What's it specifically good for?

If any promoter is asked about drugs in boxing they will all give the same answer as we all would. It’s a promoters job to make money to be fair. If you’re expecting some white knight as a promoter go and follow another sport. Hennessy has continued to promote Hughie, who failed a test. Warren continued to promote Tyson and Saunders who both failed tests. I won’t bother to go searching through Teikken and the Japanese promoters but I’ve no doubt former drugs cheats have boxed in Japan, and obviously I wouldn’t have to look far to see evidence of it in America. You can then extend it to the suspected drug cheats. PAC man wasn’t signed up to vada at the weekend.

I blame the people who decide on the feeble punishments. If Whyte, Browne etc were given lengthy bans they wouldn’t be on any shows. The people giving the bans could easily force the promoters hands to not be able to even put fights on involving drug cheats.

It was first used to treat low testosterone, so that should tell you all you need to know.

Feel sorry for people who bought the PPV with now a few days later the fight outcome is under serious scrutiny and possibly being overturned and implications of WBC changed.

I wonder now is Lomachenko and his team looking at this news and possibly considering pulling out of the Campbell fight.

I think the point boxing prospect is making though is that Hearn specifically has complained about the issue of steroids in the US boxing scene.

It is ALLEGED that DW has failed due to taking 2 x metabolites of the drug dianabol ...

Dianabol is the market name of the Methandienone or Methandrostenolone, which belongs to the C17 steroids family.

It is an androgenic and anabolic steroid & gives the following benefits:

Can push your limits...
Seriously enhance your performance...
Offer you a great physique way faster than you would have done on your own...

Furthermore Dianabol can ...

1 Rapidly up your body’s free testosterone

2 Gives a boost so that Red Blood Cell production increases.

3 Seriously upgrades your metabolic capacity.

4 Enhances the synthesis of protein

5 Allows you to have better recovery rates

6 Ups your body’s ability to retain nitrogen

7 Helps you burn fat

8 Increases your strength while decreasing your fatigue.

So this ALLEGED failed test is serious.

Probably won't take long for the WBC to remove him from the rankings. As in, they won't take six hundred days to do it.

Saying None of them looked ripped is an understatement!

One of the biggest dopers in sprinting and 100m WR holder Tim Montgomery looked like garbage .

They take drugs to improve performance not to improve aesthetics (although I accept there is generally some cross over )

Much as I fvcking hate drugs cheats, Hearn would have been in a very difficult position - if UKAD & BBBC rules state that it’s ok to fight, and since it was only the A sample, would you really expect a promoter to just call it off at such short notice? And what if the B sample comes back clean? Everyone would have lost a sh!tload of money and time for nothing.

I do agree, however, that Rivas’s team should definitely have been told so they could make an informed decision for themselves.

Yeah and I answered that point saying every promoter when they get asked about drugs will give pretty much the answer that Hearn gave. ie they will condemn it.

When Frank was asked following the Jarrell Miller failure he condemned it just like Hearn did. I don’t think I’ve seen Frank asked about continuing to promote people who’ve failed drugs tests tho funnily enough. It almost suggests he tells the people interviewing that they can’t ask that question. Ohhhh whoppsie.

Did you see the state on him when the fight was first announced though? He certainly had a much improved physique in a relatively short space of time, even if it was a long way from being a great one...

Damn , Dianabol? That’s what turned Arnold into the Terminator.

I know it was only the A sample but in all my years of following sport I can only think of one occasion when the B sample came back negative when A was positive.

I would however hate to try navigate my way around the supplement / food world as a drug tested athlete ( unless you own your own farm ) these days .

I actually had considerable sympathy for DIllian for his first failure ! A two year ban for an over the counter stimulant . Pretty harsh when people are getting much less than that for anabolic steroids.
