How far can Anthony Small go?

Anthony fought last night, and won, beating Alexander Matviechuk.

In June's edition of Boxing Monthly, there's a good interivew with Anthony. He is a colourful character, who likes to entertain. People do not realise he's not really like this outside the ring.

Anthony has good power, sharp reflexes and speed, is unorthodox and throws punches from all angles. In Boxing Monthly, he mentioned a lot of names whom he would like to fight.

How far do you think he can go in Boxing and why?

I think small will be able to make a lot of good fighters look bad and i think he could possibly get to eurolevel but for me he is an accident waiting to happen - that guy he fought last night was 7-12, yet still managed to catch small. what will happen when he meets someone with a good defence , agression and power? In my opimion he get spanked my someone like jamie moore , who wouldn't give him time to breathe.
I have to admit i like watching small and he looks good given time and space to work but we will have to see him put under serious pressure from a decent opponent before we can tell how far he really can go.

i think he can go a long way. i reckon he would be wayne alexander now. If Mcdonagh could out box him early and nearly beat him i reckon small would humilitate him.

But what if Alexander bounces one off Small's chin when he's messing around off-balance? Goodnight, I reckon. I like Small, he's a character. But I do think he's going to get chinned before too long.

I doubt Small will go much further than domestic level, he gets tagged way to much. He's pretty quick with his hands and throws nice shots but does he really have the reflexes to carry off this hands down style? I am not convinced he has.

He's like Emmanual Augustus only a bit more serious. I really like him, and I think boxing in this country needs more characters so I'm glad he's around. I also think he looks capable of challenging for a world title someday, but to be fair I haven't seen enough of him to be 100% convinced yet.

i fancy him to be a world title contender...but like someone else said what happens if he gets caught while he's dancing about and off balance?

Maybe he can win the British at some point.

He beats the likes f Woolcombe - but he will not go past british imo.

Too open and off balance - needs to show the basics and not just pot shot.

Smalls needs to throw more shots. He has a risky style but has a good chin as I understand. British level def, after that who knows?
