I think we are getting to the point of running out of fights that can be sold as ppv "worthy" in the UK.
Hopefully can put end to charging twice to watch good quality boxing .

Most fights that have been ppv are not ppv worthy. They keep selling us a line of crap and expect us to keep paying for it

In the last five years I’d say these following fights weren’t PPV worthy -
Joshua vs Whyte, Martin, Breazeale, Molina, Takam and Ruiz Jnr. Taking in to account Parker was a unification and Povetkin a big name, I believe they are acceptable. Wlad is obviously a PPV match up.
Kell Brook v Gavin, Spence Jnr.
Haye v Bellew 1 & 2
Fury v Schwarz
Mayweather v McGregor
Every Dillian Whyte fight. Bellew and he being deemed PPV fighters is where it’s really broken down. I’ll give Bellew Usyk as that was for every belt and Usyk is very special, but Whyte? The man has never beaten a top 5 heavyweight, it’s absurd that he’s considered PPV worthy.

So basically that’s the majority that shouldn’t have been PPV imo.

Between 96 and 2007 we had 10 PPV fights over here. Featuring Naz, Bruno v Tyson, Tyson v Holy, Lewis v both, Mayweather, Hatton etc

Since 2017 we’ve had 15 odd, with only 5 of them at most being PPV worthy. Hearn is a pisstaking prick. He chats on about having to make these fights PPV in order to entice the fighters but tell Whyte and co bollocks, I’m all for fighters earning good money but how can he demand millions for fights? Where else is he gonna go? Hearn is just maximising his own profit getting us to foot the bill for everything and then give him an extra lump sum on top.

agree with most of that list although Brook vs Spence was PPV worthy, was buzzing all fight week waiting for Saturday

PPV's market will eventually burst it isn't sustainable I can see OTT platforms such as DAZN transitioning into the UK

Just because you buzz over a fight on fight week etc or the fact that it’s a good fight doesn’t just make it a PPV though.

That’s it, PPV over here should be massive British boxers in big fights or elite level, bonafide world class big name foreign fighters taking on each other.

Brook v Spence was a fight I enjoyed and paid for. Brook isn’t Bruno or Hatton though, he’s not even Khan, and Spence was on the way up.

Whyte and Bellew being PPV is mental when you look at it. Hearn absolutely conning people left right and centre there!

Well, I am one of the 1 million.

Balls to Steve Bunce and his bullcrap.

I refuse to pay for rip-off PPVs anymore and for that, you can blame Parcel Force Harrison.

I wouldn't blame any boxers, they take what is offered, the people who pay and agree to the opponents etc are the ones to blame. If i was offered a big pay rise in work i would take it,no questions asked.

No doubt.. Depending on who you work for etc.

Thing with most boxers, when it's ppv, it's the fans that funding the boxers purses, well most of them. Sky have a deal with Matchroom and some of the boxers also have a direct deal with Sky as well. Sky Sports alone make a ton of money from subs. Where does all that money go on? Football? and other Sports. And they say Boxing is supposed to be one of the top sports in UK?

Boxing is a tough sport to live off and not many British boxers even have that appeal anymore.

Lomachenko vs. Campbell won't do better than Spence-Brook IMO.

Hmm more profit for who???

Obviously not for the fighters and probably not for the TV companies lol.

Interesting thought actually the owners WME over paid for a dieing company....

Maybe Dana White and the Fertitta Bro's have all of these profits lol

The owners are the ones generating profit in any business.

I'll never pay 20 quid to sit there and listen to Adam Smiths sh*tty commentary. Ian darke on the other hand would be a different story.

Bunce is more Bel-end than Leg-end ... made a career from having a loud squeaky voice more than anything knowledgeable coming fro his mouth.
