Baloyi v Medina result

South African south-paw Cassius Baloyi knocked out Mexican veteran Manuel Medina in the 11th round on Wednesday for the vacant International Boxing Federation junior lightweight crown.

Baloyi appeared to be outboxed for much of the fight but then came alive in the 11th round and dropped Medina three times to end it.

So looks as if we could have the prospect of a very interesting fight of Cassius Baloyi v Alex Arthur . One to look foward to. I think Arthur is rated No1 with the IBF

Shocked.

When i read it this morning, i thought there must be a mistake. I have seen Casius fight on numerous occasions, and i have never rated him that highly, but what a win.

By all accounts Medina was controlling the fight, but Casius is dogged, and stuck with him.

A fine win.

It makes for an interesting fight, should the Arthur battle come off.Baloyi is willing to travel, so one would think he would take the fight in the UK.

I'd like to see what Arthur made of Medina first.

I thought Medina would win, although at his age it's always hard to predict when everything will "go"... maybe age just caught up with him just 6 minutes away from winning the umpteenth world title.

I think Baloyi vs Arthur will be a harder ask for the Scot than Medina vs Arthur... Baloyi is a more solid Super Feather and can punch significantly harder, sure he hasn't the boxing skills of Medina - but has enough to prenetate the Arthur "defence".

It will be an interesting fight, Arthur is a big for the weight and strong aswell... He has a chance. I would say is 60:40 in Baloyi's favour.
