weve seen it so many times---a guy is still conscious and alert and stuff, but hes sluggish after the fight and then it spirals downwards into stuff like this
any time a guy is looking remotely groggy, sluggish, etc like this, they should get them out of there and right to higher level medical attention. no hanging around the ring, etc.....take the gloves off after wards and so on
that said, im not sure really much could be done in this case...but you look at what happened in argentina over the weekend too, and that type of stuff simply has no place in boxing

Agreed. Wilder has the mentality of a straight up street thug. He's legit in that regard. Much more of an actual thug type than Joshua or Fury. He's a bit dumber than both of them.

Dadashev’s widow, Elizaveta Apushkina, arrived in Maryland late Monday night. She was in the process Wednesday of having her husband’s body transported back to Russia.
Her husband’s purse – $75,000, plus training expenses – will be paid to her. Insurance companies don’t underwrite life insurance policies for professional boxers due to the inherent danger of their occupation.
Bob Arum, whose company promoted Dadashev, will pay for the fallen fighter’s funeral expenses.

Dadashev was a very tidy fighter. If you have the time to watch short highlights on YouTube you might be surprised.

He was a rising star for sure. It's a tragedy for certain regardless.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑29 Jul 2019, 16:55 Dadashev was a very tidy fighter. If you have the time to watch short highlights on YouTube you might be surprised.

Even worse for Santillan, he was given a 45 day medical suspension just weeks earlier in Germany. This was clearly an avoidable tragedy, and those at the Argentinian federation completely failed in their duty of care, as did Santillan's team.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑24 Jul 2019, 10:36My god, holding him up whilst scores are read. effing callous pudenda.

Absolutely - that’s the sad part his team/management all knew about suspension and still through him in. Just like a bit of meat for a few dollars.Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑30 Jul 2019, 02:54Even worse for Santillan, he was given a 45 day medical suspension just weeks earlier in Germany. Yehh. If a certain commission give you a medical ban, you shouldn’t really fight under any other commission until the suspension is over.3132DW wrote: ↑30 Jul 2019, 10:55Absolutely - that’s the sad part his team/management all knew about suspension and still through him in.
