Some of these are simply cases where one guy was clearly better. Not surprising that one guy won them all; maybe a little surprising in some cases that they fought more than twice.
I think Moore could have beaten Charles, just not the majority of the time. Same with Fullmer and Tiger. Ali and Norton should not even be in here.

The great Ike Williams stopped Enrique Bolanos the opportunity to become world champion. Bolanos faced the champ 3 times but he failed everytime with Williams.

Charley White fought four times against Freddie Welsh, drawing one and losing three. Ad Wolgast fought Welsh three times, losing all three.

oakland billy smith (later boardwalk billy) couldn't beat archie moore ....he did manage draw once, i think....in fight t....probably the last, after a few rounds he just got out of the ring, and said "i never could beat him, so why should try again?" billy was a real character ....i may do a post on him some time....

Pat O'Connor fought Bert Gilroy 8 times to no avail.

I had Ali winning the 2nd fight with Norton by 7-4-1, and losing the 3rd by 7-6-2. Hardly a case of I can't beat this guy.
