Enlightened-One wrote: 26 Jul 2019, 11:57 I’m just speculating here, but I have a hunch that Whyte may have failed a UKAD test, but successfully passed the VADA testing. If I'm right, then this might explain the reason why VADA didn’t inform the WBC of Whyte’s adverse test results.

In terms of UKAD and the BBBofC, the process they follow to determine a fighters’ guilt of consuming PED’s is notoriously slow.

For instance: it took UKAD and the BBBofC almost three years to process the Tyson Fury situation (i.e. February 2015 to December 2017). And ‘The Gypsy King’ was allowed to retain his license and was cleared to compete for the majority of that timeframe.

But here’s the deal, UKAD and the BBBofC are compelled by their own rules to deem Dillian Whyte as being “innocent” until the entire appeals process has played out, with the duration of the whole procedure potentially lasting a year or two.

And assuming ‘The Body Snatcher’ successfully passed his VADA tests, which superficially appears to be the case (based on the WBC’s recent statement), then what’s preventing Dillian Whyte from continuing his career and pursuing his title-shot? :-?

From the WBC’s perspective, if VADA, UKAD and the BBBofC currently consider Dillian Whyte as being “innocent” of committing any wrongdoing, then I don’t see how Mauricio Sulaiman’s organisation can have any grounds to punish the Brit. :o
That's a very good post EO. That's a sentence I seem to be posting quite regularly.

I must say I don't know any details. To be honest I find all this talk about the whys and the wherefores of drug test failure, way too depressing at any time, never mind when it's one of my favourite fighters in the frame, but I will just say this:

I think there should be at least a two tier system. There is a huge difference between a fighter who may or may not have inadvertently ingested a substance orally, nasally ( yes even Mexican beef) and one like Miller who could only have got that substance into his body by way of a needle in his arse or elsewhere. I mean if you accidentally sat on a syringe full of PEDs which someone else had carelessly discarded needle upwards, you'd have to be more than just a little unlucky :D

What's the point of ukad existing?

I'm all for stringent testing but a body which can't stop a fight going ahead or recommend a ban for a fighter in case they are bankrupted if sued is pointless and causes more confusion than good.

generally i don't get a lot of the fornicating shit that's going on but there should be a distinctive difference in handling doping cases:

first between steroids & human growth hormones that let you walk around like a sackshriveled musclemonster on the brink of fuckin up your wife & kids (like the shit big baby ingested and holy was on since he moved up from cruiser)& the whole fuckin neighbourhood in the process and stuff that's just on that retarded list but in effect gives practically absolutely no real fornicating advantage.

second, the levels of amounts found in the fighter's system. 1/1000 of 1 nanogram of thc is something else than injecting 250ml of fvckin stanozolol or whatever every other day!

that the frikkin business of doping controlling is obviously... yeah, a business, is the next shit thing i don-t get ... but whatever!

If he is proven guilty then I would expect four years and would be disappointed with less...

We're in an era in boxing where they are trying to get us to accept reduced punishments for doping offences.

Miller got the equivalent of a one fight ban for hgh.

This is the big problem with boxing regarding drug testing, there needs to be uniformity in the punishment handed down. At least in athletics which is similarly riddled with drug abuse there is one governing body...

If they were doing the B sample it would have been done by now.

Looks like they are going to go the 'contaminated meat/supplement' excuse, that will create enough doubt that he should avoid a ban and in 12 months it will be forgotten about.

It will end fine for Whyte, just like Ortiz, Fury, Pov, Stiv, and so many of the others. Expect Miller back at things soon enough too.

He's already served a 2 year ban, so this one could be 8 years. Lets hope!

He's going to be suspended for exactly 0 days. He was cleared to fight. So why would he be suspended?

Has Dillian Whyte been suspended by any governing body or been officially charged with anything?

Has any of the accusations proposed by the infamous Boxing Scene Thomas Hauser article been verified by any of the sports’ governing bodies?

As far as I’m concerned, until we receive news to the contrary, Dillian Whyte hasn’t officially been accused of committed any wrongdoing.

It means they've finally got the reason they were looking for to prevent him fighting Wilder... He'll be allowed to fight for their International, or Intercontinental, or Continental, or Europas, or Legacy belt or whatever other nonsense titles they have.

Missed my point.

I was referring to Eddie's constant parroting of the 'cleared to fight' phrase, in every single interview he does, as if it's significant to the outcome in any way at all. Whether Whyte is found innocent, or guilty, being 'cleared to fight' is almost totally irrelevant.

All we know, is there was an adverse finding on one of Whyte's samples, and an ongoing process (both confirmed by Hearn). Your last paragraph is wrong, since Whyte's own promoter admits Whyte has been accused of wrongdoing. We just don't know the details of the accusations, or if he's guilty, yet.
