This is a genius move from Hearn, it will be a shoe in for Hughie to get a close points win over a high level former belt holder in, as others have said, an incredibly vanilla fight...

Fair play to Hughie

Makes the choice of Charles Martin look even more embarassing!

I think Povetkin will win personally.

I’m wondering how many fights at this kind of level Hughie has to lose before the consensus won’t have him as a shoe in to ‘win a close but clear decision.’

Why do you think Hughie is a shoe in? He won maybe 3 rounds vs Kub and I can't say his negativty vs Parker or Kub really makes me certain he'll win here

Fair play to Hughie Fury but I think Povetkin beats him.

I am I the only one to think Povetkin Will have trouble finding Hughie Fury, Joseph Parker couldn’t hit him even if he would’ve been throwing fistfuls of rice at him, I was ringside for that and thought Fury done enough to win that fight but it was terrible to watch. :witzend: :brick:
He needs to throw his punches with more intention if he’s to beat Povetkin, Who are I highly rate !

Aww mate!
Have you tried counselling?
Life is hard enough without having to cope with the crippling emotionally destructive backlash from seeing Huggie live.

like watching paint dry. But more to the point you have to have a lot of money in your wallet for the bar. Seriously though hes a boring fighter.

You clearly aren't the only one since there's already multiple predictions here that Hughie will win

Yeah I’m sure he would rather be on that card against him instead of at the York Hall.

Already a career defining fight for Hughie this.

The Pulev one was mega because a win would have given him a mandatory shot at Joshua which could have meant serious money.

He needs a new approach, we need to see an agressive Hughie particularly throwing to the body's something he is actually good at but never does.

If he just runs around the ring flicking his jab like he did against Parker he may nick a decision but he will have bored a packed out arena to death and damaged his reputation.

Where as a stoppage of Povetkin would change everything

I am not sure if Hughie can pull this off, he is very talented but don't think he has enough power to keep opponents off him.

Very interesting fight. Povetkin hasn’t fought in a year.. a year older. He can still bang thought there ain’t no old age on the HW division.

I wouldn’t say Fury can’t win. He does have a chance. I won’t be surprised if he does it. May be a boring fight this. Right just before the main event and put the crowd to sleep.

Your probably right James.
I'm hoping Povitkin can cut the ring off and swarm Huggie. Maybe catch him.
No doubt the first time Huggie feels the power, he is on his bike.

can't wait to see Povetkin knocking out one of the most boring fighters currently in Hughie Fury. i think he will knock him out unless he aged a lot since the Joshua fight.

Hughie hasn't got the power to put Pov away, but does have the ability to take a points win. Pov is clearly the favourite, but I won't be shocked at all if Fury gets a UD.
