Some people thought that Browne could compete with the top 4 LHWs  Not with that chin!

That was absolutely brutal. No way should there have been a 10-7 round. Sometimes I hate boxing. No way should Browne have lost that fight. :brick:

You go down twice in a round, it's a 10-7 round.

It was a fair decision. Had it gone on, Browne would've been KO'd.

I don’t think so....he won every round he wasn’t getting knocked down......if he weathered the 9th, he’d probably have swept 10,11,12.

The stoppage came at the perfect time for Pascal.

Then again, he easily couldve won some rounds then get dropped for like the 4th or 5th time

I agree that he likely would’ve been KO’d, but I still thought he was ahead DESPITE the knockdowns. The second knockdown in that round I didn’t see clearly. It sounded as though it was questionable.

I got that feeling too. Browne was looking fragile and Pascal ( bless him) was looking the most comfortable at the midway point than I've seen him in ages. He really wanted it, trained for it, and would have taken it, had it gone on. I'm happy for him. It's unexpected and we all love an underdog giving it his all

Well, due to the kds the best case for Browne if you gave him the other 5 was to be even after 7, so it would come down to who you give the 8th to. I dont see how Browne couldve been ahead after 7 though

I wasn't scoring the fight. But I got the feeling it was very close.
I thought Pascal lost the rounds he didn't score a KD, and scraped the last one. Bloody entertaining fight though, way more competitive than I expected. Loved it.

I say don’t sleep on a veteran like Pascal. He was supposed to retire a couple of years back. But his experience is vital.

However. Every round there wasn’t a KD, was a Browne round, bar the final round which had to be scored, which ultimately won it for Pascal.

I think there is a rematch here. Ended prematurely. Maybe get them on the Wilder-Ortiz PPV in November?

Me too. I thing the judges gave the first round to Pascal. He we more active, even if he had difficulty to reach Browne due to the distance.
Anyways, Browne was much weaker after the two Knock down in 7th round and he would have been koed later if it had gone on.

According to Dan the judges had it 65-65 after 7 rounds and all three scored the 8th to JP.

It wasn't questionable. There was a punch and Browne went down.

Judges got it right. Even if you give 5 out the first seven to Browne, there was a draw before the 8th, and Pascal won the 8th.

Browne doesn’t react well to be knocked down. He was all over the show like Khan.

But he recovered well after the first KD and won the round afterwards.
