Teofimo Lopez Vacillating on Commey Fight..
I have read some articles today on boxing scene where Lopez doesn't sound so eager to fight Commey. Which is probably a good idea, if Lopez isn't ready for Commey which I think might be the case. A promising career could be cut short due to a bad loss to a powerful puncher such as Commey.

Although Teo didn't look good last fight that Japanese guy was ridiculously tall for LW and pretty awkard. Commey's a serious step up but I still think Teo wins. I think Lopez struggles to make weight though, and maybe that combined with last fight has given him a doubt about taking on Commey so fast? I dunno...

It doesn't get any easier at 140 Progaris, Taylor, Ramirez, Hooker, etc..

Probably just gonna wait for a vacant title against some unknown boxer from Canada by way of France with little punching power and a couple losses on an inflated record. Really a shame after all that talking. Shamelessly, some alphabet soup organization will make it happen

The perception that a loss can shorten a career is one of the HUGE problems with boxing. Tyson lost...so did Ali, Foreman, Roy Jones, pacman, And so many other top fighters...fighters lose some but they come back stronger and smarter for future bouts...victor-romeo wrote: ↑02 Aug 2019, 11:13 I have read some articles today on boxing scene where Lopez doesn't sound so eager to fight Commey. "bad loss was the key word" one where he takes a beating or severe ko and has his confidence destroyed is what I am talking about not just a L on his record.

Teo needs to fire his dad as trainer. His relationship with his father reminds me of Tito Trinidad and Papa Trinidad. Papa Lopez didnt have a CLUE against Nakatani and will be unable to guide his son to reach his full potential as a fighter.

What is holding back a Commey/Lomachenko match up if Lopez isn't next?
