Jarrell Miller expecting October return, wants to split with promoter
Jarrell Miller may currently be on the sidelines as he serves a drug suspension for PEDS, but tells RingTV that he’s excited at the prospect at getting back into the ring after watching Adam Kownacki and Chris Arreola slug it out over the weekend.
“Of course I’m a fighter, so watching that gave me the itch. I know that we have some business to take care of but we’ll be back October,” Miller added before enumerating how much longer he has left in his WBA issued suspension, which concludes on September 19. “I think it’s 47 days and counting. I can’t wait.”
Speaking on some other heavyweight action, Miller would continue by saying that Anthony Joshua got exposed by Andy Ruiz Jr. just as he said would happen once Joshua faced someone who would really bring the fight to him. And then Miller expressed some dissatisfaction with his current promoter, Dmitriy Salita, whom he is looking to part ways with.
“I think Dmitriy, he’s not for the fighter, he’s about himself with his money in his pockets. That’s not where I want to be,” said Miller, who is co-promoted by Greg Cohen Promotions. “I love the sport of boxing so if I make a mistake in this game, I want to own up to it and fix where I went wrong, and that’s what I’m doing.
“I think I want to be with a promoter that’s not only about the fight, but ethically is just a good person.”
I have to say, Miller questioning someone’s ethics here is pretty freakin’ rich considering his current predicament.

I saw that today. Curious to see how he performs without "help." I bet his output goes way down and he gasses out. Or maybe I just hope so.

It will be interesting to see who is willing to take the fight. Miller's reputation was overhyped due to this mouth and he's now widely hated. Most drug cheats get a longer term suspension but his ban is still fresh in our minds. Unless he signs with PBC, i don't see him getting any big names or paydays anytime soon.

PBC have a good track record of getting guys fights who failed. Stiverne and Ortiz still got there title shots when they failed. Plus PBC have lots of HWs, from Wilder to guys more the level Miller's beaten up on.
BUT OF COURSE HAYMONS NOT A PROMOTER BEFORE ANYONE BUSTS MAH BALLS

Miller is the perfect lamb to be fed to Wilder.
He is unbeaten, American, uses his face as a defence, talks the talk, waddles the walk. Who could ask for better?

LOL, good point. I'm not surprised that he doesn't recognize how ridiculous it is for him to say that.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Aug 2019, 11:14I have to say, Miller questioning someone’s ethics here is pretty freakin’ rich considering his current predicament.

Miller is slightly dangerous to Wilder I think. He's the perfect lamb to be fed to Fury. Kownacki is the perfect lamb for Wilder.KiwiRider wrote: ↑06 Aug 2019, 15:57Your balls are fine, because your probably right.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑06 Aug 2019, 14:36 PBC have a good track record of getting guys fights who failed. Re: Jarrell Miller expecting October return, wants to split with promoter
Hmmm... I would say Miller and Kownacki are much of a muchness in regards to Wilder.
Of course we can only speculate what a clean Miller actually is
I also forgot to add, Miller will be a bit rusty by the time of his next fight because it will probably be 12+ months (depending) since his last fight. Perfect for the picking.
Re: Jarrell Miller expecting October return, wants to split with promoter
I just figure Miller would take a punch, and hit harder than Kownacki. I don't think he's any more skilled exactly, but he strikes me as a stronger, tougher guy.

Miller is more polished and not quite as hittable as Kownacki. They are both all arm in their shots. I think they are similar fighters but consider Miller better.

Miller works the body well. I think he matches up well against fury.
Fury can be outworked if you can cut the ring off and fury doesnt punch hard for a hw
Wilder would knock him out.

Might be a little slow and plodding for Fury
Re: Jarrell Miller expecting October return, wants to split with promoter
Maybe, but I can imagine him trapping Fury in a corner more than Tyson's experienced before. Miller also throws more punches (PED?) than anyone Fury has faced. A lot more.

Fury seems to have a thing for getting guys to drop their outputs TBF. I remember a lot of people, myself included, assuming that Wilder would be way more aggressive than Wlad was, but then even he too became a few punches a round guy. Fury did it to Chisora too.
Miller likes to be set to punch as well.

I agree. Just saying Miller is like no other fighter that Fury fought. Could make it interesting, assuming no falloff in non-PED Miller.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑06 Aug 2019, 16:34 Fury seems to have a thing for getting guys to drop their outputs TBF. That's the thing though. We don't know what a clean Miller is like. The durgs he was on suggests he could be fatter with less stamina. Who knows.oogiebe wrote: ↑06 Aug 2019, 16:36I agree. Wasn't it Miller that wanted VADA random testing for the Joshua fight?
I bet it was his promoter who suggested that would be a good idea to rattle Joshua by accusing him of PED use and pushing for 10-week VADA testing.
Turns out that was a stupid idea. That's why he wants to dump that promoter.

I’m not so sure you’re right about this, but I really do wish you were.joshj909 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2019, 14:35 It will be interesting to see who is willing to take the fight. Unfortunately, the heavyweight division is very likely rife with drug cheats, with most of them managing to gain a certain amount of success during their careers despite having previously been caught-out consuming banned substances.
For instance: Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury, Alexander Povetkin, Jarrell Miller, Lucas Browne, Shannon Briggs, Erkan Teper, Eric Molina, Bermane Stiverne, Luis Ortiz, Dillian Whyte, Mariusz Wach, Tony Thompson, Chris Arreola, Monte Barrett, Frans Botha, Fres Oquendo, James Toney, Mike Tyson, Andrzej Wawrzyk and the list goes on-and-on-and-on…

It was for the wba title so vada testing was required.SportsRatings wrote: ↑07 Aug 2019, 01:00 Wasn't it Miller that wanted VADA random testing for the Joshua fight?

Miller refused to enter the wbc vada testing program and was dropped from their rankings previously so its pretty clear hes always been juicing

At least a few of those were caught for recreational drugs: Chris Arreola (pot x 2), Mike Tyson (pot x 2)
and should definitely add Vitali Klitschko and perhaps the biggest PED user in boxing history Larry (War Machine) Olubamiwo
