I'm just being silly there. I think it's all gotten a bit overblown, there's like a circle jerk of 'look AJ's ruined and done! every time some words from him come out,' but I think that's premature and probably reading too deep into him putting words out there for interviewers.. And as others rightly noted, what about Ruiz's state? Is he letting it go to his head? He was never really the most dedicated it seemed and what is his motivation now that he's been able to buy mansions, buying rolls royces, doing all sorts of media, etc. And Andy was not exactly the most convincing in performances before this, gilgamesh wrote: ↑08 Aug 2019, 01:51How do you figure that one? Made millions of dollars, is overwhelmingly successful. Is one of the biggest stars in his chosen Profession...still, even after losing.
Hell even if he never managed to win another fight, he's had a career that most could only dream of.
Basically, in terms of mental state or one-offs, I'm not really convinced either way, and we really need to see them fight again. A guy like Kov got KTFO by a fighter more consistent than Andy,, then had a bunch of legal problems come before the rematch and looked in a bad state, but then come fight time was super focused and won pretty much won every round (those 8-4 cards were very generous to Alv)
The rematch is a really good one, let's see what happens
