Saunders will be chucked in at the deep end and will be the away fighter.

Super middleweight world titlist Billy Joe Saunders has signed with Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, a source with knowledge of the deal told ESPN on Sunday. Saunders earlier this month parted ways with career-long promoter allegedly, who guided him to middleweight and super middleweight world titles. Now Saunders (28-0, 13 KOs), 29, of England, will be promoted by Hearn, who has a major fight he can make in the division, a unification bout between Saunders and unbeaten Callum Smith. Hearn on Sunday announced that he would hold a news conference on Tuesday in London to “reveal a major new signing.”

Surprised that BJS is still only 29! Maybe it's a traveller thing to seem older than you are...same with the Furys.

Hearn signing the likes of Hughie and Saunders doesn't nothing for his stance on PEDs

What stance is this?

The stance that's trying to get Whyte off the hook with ukada because he passed all his voluntary self paid for vada tests?

After telling us that ukada is great and Joshua gets tested by them all the time?

The man is a hypocrite

I'd have thought the first priority for signing him would be to use him as Canelo food

TBH I knew stance wasnt the word to use when I posted it but theres no doubt Hearn is the most vocal promoter when it comes to PEDS , no other promoter uses VADA as much as him, whether he's a hypocrite is another point altogether

I would think BJS would be in the Canelo sweepstakes even if it's not up to Hearn to make it? Just by virtue of being a top guy around the weight, and not with a team that has barriers to fighting on DAZN. Seems like Hearn has worked with a few guys in the Canelo mix actually. Jacobs, GGG, Andrade...and of course even Fielding got a fight

It doesn't hurt, I don't think Oscar would be too keen on a slick southpaw.

Really who cares , Saunders in the past has NEVER demanded his promoter get him thed big fights , he,s just rattled on and on but been happy to face nondescript opponents in leisure centres, Don,nt think it will change now , he,s gone to matchroom to beat up all there level 2 fighters untill its a couple of cashout days against the big boys
