Tim Tszyu V Dwight Ritchie

Post by Grant »

Good domestic match up.

"Tim Tszyu will fight world #10 Dwight Ritchie on August 14 on
@MainEventTV
with an undercard featuring Tayla Harris v Renee Gartner & Mateo Tapia v Renold Quinlan #TszyuRitchie"

My point is that in what world is Dwight a top ten rated fighter? Oh I know it's IBF. But really?

Good fight. Leaning towards Tszyu but Dwight Richie is a pretty good fighter. Regardless if he’s world rated or not, it’s still a good fight between 2 Aussies.

well tims fight vs camirelli was considered a step up, and ritchie beat camirelli, so it seems like a logical step up again

World No.14 Tszyu (13-0-0, 10 KOs) will fight Ritchie (19-1-0, 2 KOs) on August 14 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.

"I've been chasing this fight for a long time," Tszyu told reporters in Sydney.

The winner will potentially crack the top five in the world.

"He's coming up, I'm coming up. There can only be one. It's a make or break fight for the both of us," Ritchie said.

Sydneysider Tszyu is the son of former light welterweight world champion Kostya Tszyu.

The night will also include AFLW star Tayla Harris's first bout of the year against Renee Gartner.

How many fighter's from this part of the World in the same boat as what you are saying about Ritchie exact same thing can be said about Tim Tszyu and another dozen or so Aussie fighter's THE WAY I LOOK AT IT today if you have had over a dozen fight's or so and still unbeaten or close to unbeaten with all these regional belt's around and your not World rated you should retire or get a new team around you its not just the IBF either its all the major belt's with Regional belt's to get you World rated that's why the Aussie Title is so devalued no one needs it...….In My opinion Ritchie will have to many moves and Boxing IQ for Tim at this stage and win a Un Dec.

Great domestic matchup.
Ritchie is legitimately in the top 2 best light and Middle in this country.
Why not top 10???
He's talented enough, and Tim is going to be up for it come August.

Really looking forward to it.
Promoters around Australia take note, this is how you walk talent to the top.

Never said he's top 10 world. IBF ranked why not, he's won regional titles to validate a ranking, and won that mention in other's backyards. I'm not here to split heirs, or argue
Koki Tyson is dangerous, and is a fighter in his own back yard no taxi, or busted grape.
It's a good domestic matchup, probably yhe best fight of either mans career.
Good for the movement of two indicators that noone here ever acknowledges.

He's cleaning up his own backyard, and it looks like that's everyone.
And his opponents are a step forward each time.
The Cowboy is a regional fighter, and a strong one, considering he won this regions main belt OPBF from it's champion in it's own country.
Looking forward to this.

Doesn’t matter where they are ranked in the world ratings. It’s a good domestic match up and definitely a step up for Tszyu. I think Tim will win but Richie is a good fighter and will really test him out. Nothing surprises me in boxing and this one could go either way.

Without having a shot at anyone , boxer , trainer , manager or promoter , the facts are if you cannot hit the Aussie scene and clean it up , you have no right even talking world rankings ect . . How many times has it gone pear shaped for the guys who clean up the lower end middle end , and then refuse to fight the top teir of there own country ,

If they have huge aspirations for any of them , they need to get it done .

I think Tim would be very proud of what his father has achieved. And if he doesn’t reach those heights, he could still be a very good fighter as he is already.

It seemed pretty much on the dumb side to me. But then again I don't know how old you are so I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
