Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
This fight is official. Well 2 elite champs fighting each other. Who you got? Very unpredictable IMO.

Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
I hope the 175 guys will make more unification fights. Great division that lacks unification. What a shame we never got the Kovalyov vs Stevenson superfight. But I hope that the big eastern euro 4 will be less hesitant to fight each other. Imo Kovalyov was the Best out of them but he is aging now so my favourite current LHW is Bivol.
I think that Gvozdyk will stop Beterbiev late after a very competetive war mostly due to his superior defensive skills.

Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
I don't take it as a really competetive fight, because I've never seen something special from Beterbiev, except his punching power. Gvozdyk has enough skills to avoid it and to outbox Beter. Furthermore, I think, Gvozdyk will stop Beter in the end.
Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
Got to go with Gvozdyk, but, if Beterbiev can take his power into the deep end, one punch can change it all.

Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
If Gvozdyk manages to stay outside, he could repeat Usyk vs Gassiev scenario.
Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
Shame that Beterbiev has never really done a lot in the professional ranks to prove that the hype surrounding him was justified. Some people claimed he would be better than Kovalev. If Beterbiev had already proven he was better than Kovalev by now, then this fight with Gvozdyk would be insane. I'd even settle for a single win over Pascal, Badou, Ramirez, or Eleider.
Either way, it's a respectable fight. But once Gvozdyk beats Beterbiev, do we really even know exactly what to value Beterbiev's scalp at? I think opinion would be all over the place.

Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
Gvozdyk has the power, skills, mobility, and intelligence.
Beterbiev punches like a mule but has thin armor (weak chin) and has a charley horse between his ears.
Advantages Gvozdyk. Too smart, too many weapons, and too tactical to be defeated only by a bazooka.

His chin is fine. No worse than Kovalev's. He is just easy to hit.sturm vogel wrote: ↑18 Aug 2019, 21:42 Gvozdyk has the power, skills, mobility, and intelligence.

I am very excited too. They will not become big stars, because they are not native English speakers, but they will definitely determine a current best LHW and can become undisputed.

Bert has a puncher's chance vs any LHW but I'd be very surprised if he managed to get by and actually beat all the guys to become undisputed. Too many holes not to be exploited by someone.

Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
Bivol is too small for LHW, and Smith made him feel that.

You must be speaking of Joe Smith , I didn't see that fight, I will put it on my list of things to see.
All I know is Bivol is young, fast hands, mobile, punches hard first 6 rounds, and then becomes more of boxer with less pop after 6 round but still hitting hard enough great boxer.

Bivol won 11-1 vs Smith, Joe got him with a good shot at one point (Smith if nothing else has good power) but really never was able to impose himself.
Re: Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
Is there any romors of Bivol next fight ?

Beterbiev has the gun but not the range or the mobility.
Gvozdyk has the gun, the range, and the mobility.
Gvozdyk shoots Beterbiev up round after round until either Gvozdyk runs out of rounds but not ammunition.

Jesse Hart is with Top Rank and he has no fight schedulod. That would be very good undercardboxing_rocks wrote: ↑15 Sep 2019, 17:17He fights on Usyk's undercard against TBD, so there won't be anybody exciting.
