TOM. I'm the good looking one of the corner LOL, the one who swears now and again, shaven head (alright shave cause it's baldy!) Must say you were right about Muttleys left hand, very strong puncher, good all round boxer, top guy also. Must admit I can see why he's in the the "we don't need him" of the boxing world, would give the guys in the division nightmares. Predict he will clean up the l/welter if given the chance. Don't worry Kev will be better for this fight, he'd never ever been down before, but it'll certainly teach him to keep his right hand up. The other guys in the division will think they may have a chance but don't fear any of them, he didn't box to his very best but only cause Muttley was pretty tasty, Kev will get better and better trust me
You've got to admit yourself that no other welterweight would have "bounced" up from that shot, strong till the end
I don't have any inside info but Anderson will most likely fight Ali Nuumbembe next as I think he has to if he wants to keep the commonwealth title .
I don't believe McNeil's fight with Young was a final eliminater so he most likely won't be fighting Anderson unless he can beat another decent Welterweight .
Anderson , Jennings , Hare , Takaloo , Doherty , McNeil , Minter/O'Donnell , M.Hatton are the guys that will be contesting British Welterweight title fights in the near future .With guys like Nuumbembe , Okine , Shannon McMahon(doesn't look that good but will probably get a chance) ,Olusegun and Joseph Makaringe(if he wants to go that route) also in the mix for the commonwealth .
Barnes and Muttley look like they are going down to Light-Welterweight .

I have the upmost respect for every fighter, but Kevin last night, showed the heart of a champion. Respect where its due, the left-hook that detonated on Ando's chin in the second would have put any other fighter out for the count. What courage.b_hammersley wrote:TOM. Great fight.
Would you let Anderson in with Mutt again??

Fair play that was a fight ending shot, testament to Anderson's conditioning and heart. Took him a few rounds to get his legs back fully after that.b_hammersley wrote:TOM. TOM. Of course I'd let Kev take on Muttley again. Kevs one of these guys who won't duck anyone, great self believe. But don't think Lee would take it, he was honest enough at the end to say his future lies in the l/welters. Must admit I'm a bit of a fan of his now, great fighter. Kev will only get better for this. Just hope Muttley can get the fights at l/welter, but can see lots of guys trying to duck him, very strong fighter.

Glad to hear it mate!!!
Yes, i know he is going back down to light-welter. He couldnt get fights down there before, i hope he does this time.
I was speaking to a couple of lads that write for Boxing News, and they agreed that Daws won't go near him.
If he can take a classy fighter like Anderson to the wire at welterweight, then what will he do at l/welter against the best.
I've seen Mutt fight about 11 times, and last night he boxed as good as i've seen him, but Kev was too strong at the end.
Saw you and Kev heading off to the Aston social!!! I heard about you looking for a Sushi bar!!!

Great fight. I'd picked Anderson to win on points, but Mutley looked absolute dynamite from the start. Really thought it was all over in the second, but what heart from Kevin. And to come back and win it? Unbelievable. I really can't praise him enough, that was a stunning display of sheer will-power. And big credit to Mutley as well, I really hope he gets the fights he wants in the future, because he's a top of the bill performer. He could cause some real problems at 140lb's.

Sounds like Martin did a number on Baz. I wonder if SN would put Amir in with another undefeated prospect such as Martin Gethin?..
unlikely you would think.

This thread is so damn funny. The amount of irate English posters who are pissed at Scottish fight fans supporting their countryman
is fun to read. Muttley fought probably the fight of his life and caught Anderson with some monster shots. Anderson though showed great heart and fitness and ultimately Muttley couldn't take his shots and got sparked.
I didn't hear Muttley call for a rematch which suggests that he knows he had done all he could. At the end of the day it was a fine and brave comeback win for Kevin and I think this is about as far as he can go. Look for him to aim for some exciting domestic paydays with Jennings and David Barnes.
One poster wrote that he got lucky against Okine which is crap. He deserved that decision. And it wasn't a lucky punch which beat Muttley either. By that logic Muttley's knockdown was the result of a lucky punch too then.
The best man won and it was a great fight. The end.
PS - Paul Appleby looks exciting and Macklin-Moore would make a barnstormer.

me neither! another thing ,question. if muttley was big and strong at welter, yet run out of puff at the end,how can people be suggesting that he will be more effective and have better stamina if he has to lose an extra 6lb to make light welter for a championship fight. surely that would make him weaker? like i said ,lenny daws fights twelve furious paced rounds,so why should he be worried?mattym wrote:What is trolling?
