Obviously not a great indicator but have seen Haskell on the pads. He looked like every other big, muscle bound rugby player doing padwork has done in the past...awful!

He’s a bit of a prick to be honest, posh too. Not many posh pricks can have a proper fight can they?

Not too sure about that, he’s just a bit of a Tory boy type really from what I’ve seen. He was always pretty game on a rugby pitch but nearly everyone is at that level anyway. I wouldn’t call him a troublemaker in the pitch really. Pretty aggressive and very physical but again, ten a penny at that level. He actually didn’t punch his weight imo, he rarely bounced people off.

Will be interesting to see if he even has a fight. Some of these MMA franchises sign ‘names’ who don’t actually end up fighting.

My comment, or Cormier?

If not me

I suspect Cormier took it a little for granted, he tried to just outstrips Stipe, with no real respect for his own skillet.

I was commenting on DC.

Could be. But DC consistently stated that even though he felt he was the better fighter that he believed this fight would be tougher and go longer than the first fight. Maybe it was just a grooling fight as well. I think I remember him tiring but pushing through in the Gustafsson fight.

He seemed concussed early, asking if he was losing after the second round was odd after a 10-8 first.

Do you blame his condition on his skillet? He did seem a bit flabby...

Cormier and Stipe both weighed in lighter than the first bout

It’s was the use of the word ‘skillet’ that prompted me to post tongue in cheek.

I personally think Cormier was concussed after the second round.

Mitrione got stopped in the second. His mouthpiece kept flying out of his mouth. It got knocked out a 4th time and before he could put it back in he gets put down by Kharitonov.

Total myth that posh people can't fight. A lot of them have a stiff upper lip, shoulders back doggedness that can serve them well in a pager. Particularly if they have played rugby all their lives at an all boys boarding school, or served in the armed forces.

Even old and slow, Sergei has the best uppercut in MMA. Better than most boxers' as well. Such a satisfying shot, to the body, then upstairs. followed by nap time. Old school MMA boxing hands.

Absolutely. His boxing is very good.

I'm assuming Matt is going to claim he lost due to the whole mouthpiece thing. Same outcome would have occurred if he had his fitted mouthpiece.
