John Riel Casimero vs Cesar Ramirez

Post by handsofstone »

Former 2 weight world champ Casimero fights Ramirez in a final eliminator for Tete's WBO Bantamweight title live on B/Nation this Saturday, Casimero's been World champ at Light Flyweight and Flyweight and obviously stopped Edwards in a title defence of the latter, haven't seen much else of him TBH but he has good pedigree and shared the ring with some quality operators

I think the only time ive seen Ramirez was when he lost a decision to Burnett a few years ago on the Warrington/Hyland bill, cant remember much about him but Burnett did drop him late with a body shot

Looking forward to seeing Casimero again actually he was class against Edwards

Casimero is a very talented fighter but seems to have some discipline issues

Fxxcking tremendous scrap, Casimero ices Ramirez in the 10th with a sweet as they come right hand, mouthpiece came flying out, looked a jaw breaker TBH, Casimero had already had him down 3 times, put him down with a left hook counter in the 3rd, top drawer knockdown, slipped the right of Ramirez and came over with the left, Ramirez down again in the 5th but wrong call, a Casimero hook cuffed him down, Casimero had Ramirez down a third time after a barrage sent him through the ropes in the 7th

Casimero had the quality obviously but he was wild at times going for the hail marys , Ramirez nailed him with some big shots, he was wide open at times, Ramirez is a tough hombre, kept coming back into things but would get hurt, Casimero hurt him to the body late on as well and was battering him in the 10th before knocking him out

Well worth a watch
