Sounds like you know him well.

So what happened with the the money for the tickets? Was it a scam or what?

38 senior fights? Representative level?

Pro sparring partner? For money? And if so from whom?

Pro licence holder as what? Fighter? Ref? Second? Timekeeper?

Know of him, know people who will know him, but don't know him at all myself.

Answers to questions? Don't be lazy, try a good old Google search like I had to ;)

PS: My very, very vague recollection of the ticket situation as it was played out on Facebook, is that it was a cash flow problem where ticket money was invested in 'the business' and funds weren't immediately available to issue refunds rather than an intentional scam.

You mean like Coco did above? ;) :OhYes:

Of course you could argue that the bout in Gleason's Gym was Ben Doughty touching gloves, then a body double stepping in to do the 3 rounds. Or that he was walking past York Hall and Herol Graham called in him for some fisticuffs.

Or you could perhaps acknowledge that he's 'done a bit', whether that's enough to please everyone or not

Maybe you are him!

You certainly seem to know a bit about him

I guess you can't deny he has been pictured with Prince Patel

1. Have a bit of humility, put your hands up when you are proven wrong.
2. Re-read my earlier post, get off your arse and do a search on Google and you'll find everything you want and more.
3. I don't care if he's been pictured with Patel, the Pope or Napoleon. That's a problem you'll have to deal with alone :TU:

Proven wrong about what?

I did a Google search and it led to 100's of pages of different forum posts ridiculing this Walter Mitty character.

This is coupled with some self promoting interviews where he claims all sorts

You seem to know a lot about him, number of amateur fights, you said the vid was from the Gleasons Gym, how did you know that?

You seem defensive of him too while claiming to know nothing about him

This only strongly suggests that you are this fella or at least one of his pals.

Is the ability to overlook, mis-read and manipulate something one has to have training for or is it a born skill? :OhYes:

As you can't find the answers yourself so here's a little pointer for you......'The ring has GLEASONS GYM on the corner posts'. :brick:

Some years ago at school a mate of mine was so useless at working out just about anything put in front of him, if he had 'My Cock' tattooed on his old chap he'd still not recognise it.

He'd probably have been known to you as 'the fella in the set above'. :KO:

well he protested a bit too much and was a bit too defensive and knew too much for someone claiming he is only aware of the guy by a Google search!

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out that the poster is Trainer, promoter, boxing historian, media personality, speed pad expert, personal trainer, world champion sparring partner, journalist, ex champion boxer, sporting holiday expert that is Ben Doughty!

Walter Mittee eat your heart out! Martin Gillick all over again! But at least Martin Gillick fought! Or who was the poster who had tv dates lined up in Oxford for his shows!

Yes, Patel won last night...

In case any budding Private Eyes (Coco?) want to work out how I knew that. I used Google, put in Patels opponents name and the result came up on the WBN website. :box:

Don't give it if you can't take it, you would know that if you were a real boxer.

Anyway Ben, I'm gonna put this to bed now, I come on her to talk about boxing, not get in juvenile nonsense, carry on your Walter Mitty lifestyle, just don't rip anyone off, karma at least will get you, the truth sets you free
