How would Kov fare vs the other MW crop if they came up to fight him? GGG, Jacobs, Charlo, Saunders, Andrade, Derev etc.

Obviously he'd beat them easily. Just like he will Canelo. :brick:

I would expect him to beat all of them, there's a reason for weight divisions.

Jacobs would have the best chance, due to his skillset, but I'd expect him to lose.

Kovalev would beat all of these except Saunders who would remove all his clothes, cover his primate with his hand, and run around the ring screeching at Kovalev to get back onto the scale.

What is kovalev weighin' at fighnight? 180, 85? Would be barely any difference in size to jacobs, saunders, ggg, andrade & canelo!

they just wouldn't have to torture their bodies through dehydration/making weight.

I'd favour jacobs & saunders close on points, if just because of age & speed. Still tough fights.

GGG vs. Kovalev would be brutal. a jabbed to brink of death Golovkin knocks out an totally exhausted kovalev late in a war.

Canelo gets the W! one way or the other, close fight, kov of course lucky to survive the barrage of horrifying body shots!

Kov outpoints andrade in the stinker of the year.

with the kov as of now, all tough, almost even matchups, probably none will materialise.

Sergey Kovalev usually weighs around 185lbs after rehydrating come fight night, which isn’t particularly huge for a light heavyweight. In fact, there are a few super-middleweights I can name that rehydrate to a similar mark.

If the Canelo fight is made for the 2nd November, then Kovalev will immediately commence a ten-week training camp, which won’t provide him with any opportunity to blow-up in weight, especially considering he’ll likely refrain from his usual drinking habits for the sake of the biggest bout of his entire career.

Kovalev’s trainer, Buddy McGirt has even claimed that Sergey is open to a catchweight agreement in order to fight Canelo.

If Canelo does end up facing Kovalev next and emerges victorious, I really can’t envisage the Mexican making an immediate return to the middleweight division, he’ll likely settle for 168lbs instead (for at least his subsequent bout).

It is likely painful for Canelo to make 160 already. Needs to be on a strict "Mexican beef" diet for that, but annoying VADA interferes with that.

Don't remember Saunders/ Lemieux weigh-in?
