No idea. I guess he was. Because even as Cassius Clay, he had a lot to say.
Both guys inspirational and Spencer Fearon needs to take note of what these guys stood for and fought for instead of consistantly trying to poke a hornets nest.
I get the point you are making, but both men were publicly against racial integration.
The Nation of Islam were hardly a tolerant bunch.
Ali was a wife-beating, racist, misogynist whilst Malcolm X was a known drug dealer and involved in prostitution, and spent a number of years in jail.
Guess its conclusive then , Non of us like Spencer Fearnon ,, So i suggest you do what i do , don't watch ANYTHING what he's on , or listen to anything he says , , and then the powers that be may say ,, he's bad for ratings and fook him off ,

But apart from that .......
Wouldnt most black people back then be racist the way they were treated by the white man? Malcolm x would of been stitched up by every cop in the land

Why don't people just ignore people if they don't like them? Not forced to follow him or click his videos. Life is short.
Sometimes some people just piss people off that much they cant just switch these muppets off lol

The feller can't have an interview about boxing without bringing race into it.
I've not watched it but I stopped following him on twitter ages ago, I turn the TV off when he is on. A complete racist, works both ways. If it was a white man saying the same about black men then they would have no career left, amazing that it is so one sided these days. Boycott him!

What has Fearon said about white men?
How would it go down if Dom Ingle or Freddie Roach said something like" boxing has evolved from the (using a bad Jamaican accent) fried chicken eating trainers"
Spencer would be screaming and calling for blood!
If white people have to walk on egg shells when we talk now, then it should be the same for all races. Can't keep bringing up slavery and the Rodney King thing on us. That was years ago. We don't keep going on about murders and raping that went on in the prehistoric times. We moved on. So should Spencer with his sly digs the snide.

Not the point though. If it was a White boxing trainer saying the sh ite he's coming out with, people wouldn't be saying "Just [/b]don't watch him" "just turn the TV off" would they? ...it'd all be on the Sky News for month. "racist trainer" ect ect

Mr Fearon was once on an ancestry TV programme that I saw, which was in the homeland of his parents. It could have been on the BBC.
If anyone recalls what this programme was, then I would be grateful for its name, so that I could possibly find a link.
I remember someone mentioning this and i believe he was at his racist best on this show wasn't he?
A lot more snide about it these days.....sky job to consider and all that...

That's my last rant at this.
True what your saying ,,, But still the only way to get rid of these types is to make them irrelevant , He knows what he's doing , its to keep the focus on himself , so he is relevent . , whats the saying any publicity is good publicity , so don't listen , don't watch , and he will fade away

It would be interesting to get Mr Fearon's views about his behaviour on the ancestry programme, the notion of his behaviour as recorded on this thread, and how that fits in with the model of modern, inclusive, multicultural Britain constantly promoted by TV, a medium to which I understand Mr Fearon may possibly make a living from, as I don't watch him.

I guarantee Fearon has some white ancestry
Also I just looked up his birth details, his name is Ripton Alexander Fearon, Spencer is his mothers maiden name.
I just found a recorded report of his appearance on the ancestry programme and Mr Fearon was apparently horrified to learn that he had some white lineage.
I recall he was frothing at the mouth about something. It must have been that.

After doing some quick research I think is ire is derived from his white relative, Thomas Fearon, owning a number of plantations

Be uproar if it was the other way, not that I would give a monkeys if someone called me ‘white boy’. Fearon is a pudendum
spen's response in the comments: what colour is Dave Walker?
on Trill Boxing Talk (a LDBC channel ) at 35.40 he says '' I'm definitely not talking no bullshit from no European man when I know where your mindset comes from''
at ^ 6.05 he puts on a cockney accent and disses old white trainers calling them '' the fish and chips man'' (Imagine if a white person did this the other way around and say put on a Jamaican accent )
