Don't know how much gas in G's tank has left but at 37+ y/o I guess it's not so much. Also I think that a fighter like Derevyanchenko is very hungry to get the victory since he was razor-thin to get it against Jacobs. Tough fight for G.

I dont see why a loss would end his career. If Derev somehow wins, we just add a new player to an already good division. G would match well vs Charlo and Id like to see him vs Andrade.

Derev is strong enough to T/KO an old dog like G. Mall Charlo is irrelevant imo at 160lbs. Mall didn't beat nobody notable at mw and he didn't even bother to push it for some meaningful opponents like Jacobs, Andrade or BJS to make a statement. He's just content with what he gets.

G vs Andrade or BJS could be some interesting matches. :OhYes:

Derev is no pushover, but I expect Golovkin still has enough to beat him. Might have to settle for a decision though.

Indeed. I hope G's chin is still strong as it was bc I think Derev is gonna land some clean punches.

Golovkin's chin has held up really well so far. He took some REAL solid shots from Canelo, and took 'em well.

Derevo is very strong and physical fighter, but his punch have some limitations. This fight should be entertaining but GGG is going to win IMO.

I agree that Derev is not a powerful puncher like G but also he's not a feather fisted one.

G should be able to win this one but he will be alright even if he loses. Canelo landed the right hand that almost ripps Khan and Kriklands head off and G wasnt bothered. You speak of Derev ending his career as if this was Leonard vs Camacho

G is almost 38 y/o. He has aged. He's not a spring chicken anymore.

Derevy will be right in front of GGG all night. That is a really tough fight to win. A phone booth fight. GGG has shown nothing but a granite chin. Trying to outwork GGG is an extremely tall order. Expect GGG to win an 8-4 type decision.

If GGG clearly loses to Derevo, he should retire. There is no point of doing RJJ.

Jacobs bothered GGG with his hand speed and ability to move. Derevy has neither of those attributes. Good fighter...absolutely. The type of style to really bother GGG? Not really.

It wasn't razor close with Jacobs and ggg is better at everything here. Easy work.

You have no worries.
I thought this time last year that Derevyanchenko was a hungry and fierce tiger who could be the rock to GGG's scissors.
Then we saw exposed as a finesse counter-puncher against Jacobs and even less against Culcay , who almost stopped him late, and looked and fought tougher,
Would not be surprised if GGG tko's him late and expect him to bust him up pretty good and win a clear decision.

I think I was partially right. This fight was the last straw for G. He can't continue. He's old enough and he'd get badly hurt.

Time to retire. G had a good career. Too bad that G couldn't get Canelo when he/G was a little younger(2014-2015) and also he couldn't get fights with Pirog, Quillin, Sturm and JCCJr back then when they were mw champions from various debatable reasons. G's resume would've been impressive.
