Nah, not an emotional thing. I went for Yarde over Kov too for example but I'm not emotional over either.
Granted I did want to see Luke win , but there were other factors that I think people overlooked. Those weren't enough for him to win in the end, but thye were enough I think to make a much more competitive fight then expected.

Not from my perspective. Everyone acts with emotion in problem solving and conflict situations, even lawyers who are meant to seperate thoughts from feelings. Some know how to handle it more than others. You have your favourites and certainly have your...not favourites. It’s good you’re passionate but you are currently the answer boy, as you love giving your two cents, with the wrong answers. Psych evaluation done.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 19:08 Nah, not an emotional thing. I went for Yarde over Kov too for example but I'm not emotional over either.

I did but thought the judges' scores were just a little too wide. I had Campbell winning 3-4 rounds, but Loma clearly won the fight. Loma's only easy win at 135 was the undeserving challenger Crolla but he had more trouble than expected vs Linares, Pedraza & Campbell.
I still think Loma beats either Commey or Lopez, whichever one happens to win in December, but either one will be a tougher fight than I would have thought before the Pedraza or Campbell bouts.

Well well, that was a little harsh, don't ya think? Tossing his two cents in is what makes my bruh Ms Thatcher the poster that he is. He's mostly right by the way. Even though he annoys the heck out of me.lazboy wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 19:11Not from my perspective. If Loma fights Lopez or Commey at 130 his punching power will be more effective and that should be the overwhelming factor because his boxing is there at 135 but not the stopping power he had at lower weights.Best Coast wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 19:12I did but thought the judges' scores were just a little too wide. All I said was about emotion. Everyone in the same boat but with a different spectrum. He can take the rest of the criticism, he sire dishes it out.oogiebe wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 19:13Well well, that was a little harsh, don't ya think? Anyone who picked Campbell to win either
a. Knows little of boxing.
b. Is picking emotionally.
c. Is M. Thatcher.

Loma adjusted beatifully with his footwork. Another amazing lesson, and whoever is clout-chasing, should act humble instead

Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Luke Campbell - August 31, 2019
Campbell did much better than I thought he would. The cards were quite wide (I had it 116-111) and I don't think it would have been unreasonable to have Campbell winning halfway through. But Loma absolutely dominated the 2nd half of the fight. His conditioning and ability to make adjustments are incredible. Very reminiscent of prime Mayweather.
The problem Loma faces is that there are simply no good opponents for him at 135. Mayweather got launched to ATG status by beating guys like Genaro Hernandez, Angel Manfredy, JLC, Gatti, Judah. Top Rank seems unable to get that level of competition for Loma.

He will unify and go back down to 130.jujigatame wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 10:30 The problem Loma faces is that there are simply no good opponents for him at 135.
Re: Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Luke Campbell - August 31, 2019
Lomachenko looked good after a cautious start, he almost had Campbell out of there in the 5th and 11th.
Campbell put up a decent showing though but was clearly a level or two behind Lomachenko at this stage in his career.

Will he? I would assume if they somehow get Berchelt or Davis, they'd just move up to 135. Those are really the only 2 worthwhile opponents at 130.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 10:54He will unify and go back down to 130.jujigatame wrote: ↑01 Sep 2019, 10:30 The problem Loma faces is that there are simply no good opponents for him at 135.
