It might be strong but it might be too late

I would actually , like to see a promoter or two , get given some serious jail time , when found guilty of ripping a boxer off .

As with everyone McGuigan needs his day in court, he is innocent before being proved guilty.

However if you are found guilty of ripping someone off for big money, a bit of jail wouldn't go amiss!

Nevertheless these are civil court cases so jail time isn't an option

If he is found guilty , for me and my way of thinking , he should then be prosecuted in a criminal court , and jail time a certain ,, starter ,long sentence reduced if he pays back in full ,, and not just this case any case where managers / promoters rip of a boxer

One issue is you shouldn’t have the same Promoter or Manager - you simply can’t be both.

Promoter makes money for Himself/Business and the Manager negotiates for you to get you the Maximum deal.

McGuigan doing both for Frampton was never right - I remember Hearn in an interview about 4 years ago saying exactly that about Frampton you shouldn’t allow him to do both.

Frampton was happy to sign whatever deal he agreed with Cyclone Promotions - to most from the outside he was the meal ticket but he signed them - he wasn’t forced.

Despite talking total sense that’s ended up being true if you go back and read the usual suspects on here assuring us it was all fine and the relationship was tight and that Hearn was wrong and bitter.

It just makes it impossible to take these people seriously. They’ll literally go against Hearn even when he’s stating the most glaringly obvious facts going. There are acts in the US that prevent this sh it from happening ffs.

for what its worth, although Frampton signed the deal and he was not forced, to be fair he was a lot younger and inexperienced. As time goes on we all gain more life experience, etc. So maybe Carl just started seeing things very differently as he matured and gained more life experience. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and no matter who it is you cannot put many years of life experience on young shoulders.

That’s true but if it’s legally binding deal and he signed - even if they were taking far too much you can’t see how he’s got much of an arguement.

Unless the contract has been breached in some way.
