Chisora mad about not being main event has he got a point?

Post by Glass Joe »

Deserves its own topic.

IMO Chisora got a point Taylor Prograis would struggle to do 8k at the O2 unless big undercard was included and no way would be on SKY box office only ITV boxing office

Wonder how much Chisora getting paid for being a co-main event and is he on a percentage of the box office sales? Is he making more than the main event?

Yes he should have negotiated it before he signed the contract but smart of him bringing it up at a press conference as more people will be talking about him and his fight.

Typical.
He isn't pulling out of anything.

It's just something he does at pressers.

Name me a Chisora presser where he hasn't gone off one one?

There is no way those two heavyweight plodders deserve main event status over the lightweight fight, which is one of the fights of the year. Not even close.

True but he does have a point... I could find at least some people who Chisora is. No one knows what a Prograis or Josh Taylor is

Yeah I do get what he’s saying - Hearn is probably screwing him over and putting him in one head pounding hard fight after another.. he deserves some cash

What is it that Josh says at the end that gets everyone laughing ?

Prog vs Taylor is one of the best fights in boxing, can't wait. Not a fight between a pair of B levels

Maybe Del can fight on the Youtube Star undercard too

The main event is a great fight but no-one outside of hardcore fans will have a clue who they are. Parker & Chisora however are known to the casual fans who Sky Sports Boxing PPVs are targeted at so arguably he has a point in terms of drawing power.

He has a point, why didn’t he make it before though. Anyway, he’s just given the show a boost.

Realistically then pretty much all boxing matches should be on the undercard of KSI vs Logan Paul

If Chisora is mad about not being the Main Event maybe he should've won the Main Event at least once in his life.

Wow.. Now that you mention it... Has he ever won a fight that he's headlined? :oo

Like against a good opposition. not the Eastern European boxers like Jakov Gospic..

He has a good point. Eddie has just snapped up this wbss final. Fair enough but he's putting it on sky.box office ppv and that's not been the place for it. Wbss purses are significant and I can see delboy's argument although without actual purse figures I suppose we're guessing. Delboy is being used here to draw back existing sky box office punters who've paid out for box office events in the past. Delboy is part of that and usually gives the paying punters a good show, win or lose. I can understand how and why he wants a better deal. It's not like Joshua or even whyte is headlining. The wbss final is a great match but as Eddie is so fond of saying it's one for the hardcore purists and sky box office shows aren't based on that they're based on a wider appeal.

See that’s the issue guys like Chisora want that much now we can’t get Sat night fight nights as they want too much £££.

How much do we reckon he’s getting for Parker £250k-£350k ?

Not bad for record of 30-9

Chisora - Parker is pretty big deal and heavyweights are most popular in boxing. But Taylor - Prograis is WBSS witch 2 undefeated champions facing each other. You cannot beat that
