Bowe, cause he was far more versatile and technically advanced, while durable and hard-hitting himself. That matchup could develop to a Lyle bout, but with George losing.

I think that Riddick Bowe was the better fighter. More versatile at his very best. He was one of those great talents that went to waste.
I pick him over Big George by decision.

seems people are picking Bowe on his potential, he did nothing to prove he could beat big George, any version of Foreman beats Bowe IMO
Re: Heavyweights : George Foreman vs. Riddick Bowe
I'm also quite surprised with some picking old George. Ok, young one had some real chances, but the old one was clearly decisioned by Holyfied, went life-and-death against Stewart, got widely outboxed by Morrison, was being outboxed to a shotout by Moorer prior to catching his weak chin, was arguably awarded a robbery win over Schulz. And Bowe clearly outfought prime Holyfield, while he was just destroying almost any lesser opposition.

Bowe by late round stoppage, if it's prime Foreman, old Foreman wide UD.

Re: Heavyweights : George Foreman vs. Riddick Bowe
He certainly did enough to warrant picking him over old George. The old guy of course widely lost to Morrison, was beaten to a bloody mess by Stewart, was way down vs Moore, and wasn't as competitive with Holy as Bowe was. That's the 'younger' older version of course, then we have Schulz etc.
Bowe defo beats old George. Foreman's second coming is overrated.

George that lost to Holy would beat Bowe. Young George would wreck him.

There is no way in the world that Rock would have allowed Bowe to fight prime Foreman. Wouldn't have happened.

Just curious on the first part, since Bowe actually beat Holyfield twice.
Bowe at his peak was a very talented and skilled big man. I do not see old Foreman beating him at all. Wouldn't we all be rating Bowe lower if he was outclassed by Tommy Morrison, got battered around by Alex Stewart, etc?

Styles. Foreman faded fast after Holy. Got a bit lucky vs Moorer, but got very old very fast after that.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑11 Sep 2019, 15:11Just curious on the first part, since Bowe actually beat Holyfield twice.
