I just don't see Ali as a British contender, let alone further afield.
If he was younger, then maybe with the right team around him, and the will to learn...
Unfortunately he is 27 1/2 years old.
Ranked #17 in the UK.
Look at who is above him (and below) and tell me that just the londsdale is a step too high?

I hear Kash Ali is chomping at the bit to get back in the ring.

One thing you have to say about him, he'll fight tooth and nail not to get knocked out. Mainly tooth.

Who else does Hobson have at HW? Maybe he's signing merely a future 'opponent.' Ali is crap. And dirty crap! LOL!

Be careful.
His last promoter tried to fine him.

He ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

I heard Ali missed their first meeting, as he was having an old friend for dinner.

There must be better heavies out there amongst a vibrant UK scene. Ali has shown nothing in a few years as a pro to indicate he is beyond area level and he's not even a puncher. More of a muncher and that is presumably what he's got going for him -name recognition.

Would he be best served financially being a touring heavy journeyman around Europe? Might have to learn some good defensive technique though to keep his marbles.

I think a lot of guys with winning records would be doing better financially as journeymen. I guess it's the lure of bigger money and being a star, and simply not having a record that most people would laugh at if they don't know boxing (see 'worst boxer in the world' type articles on the circuit journeymen--they haven't seen that Latvian dude lol) .

I guess watching Ruiz expose AJ has more than a few no hoper heavyweights dreaming the impossible dream.
