I love the work that IFLTV and behind the gloves etc do

But why oh why has it become the trend to interview people like Shane Fury, Carl froch's brother, Dillian Whytes brother etc and give them 15 mins of stardom.

I feel IFLTV are diluting their quality by doing this. I would rather they stuck to interviewing reasonable names in the sport rather than someone that says 'it is what it is' 20 times in an interview.

Bellew was horrendous for it. He said that more than he mentioned his kids.

This is one of the reasons I walked away from the greatest sport in the world after 25 years as a paid boxing writer,publisher,pr man and event organiser. There are no real professionals any more. I'm afraid this is what you get when untrained journalists are let loose with a camera.

IFL have done well and already lasted longer than I thought they would.

I thought their prolific uploading would kill the heat rather than build it.

Maybe they introduce new low level 'talent' rather than totally over expose the big names.

That is what makes IFL, the essence of the channel is interviewing boxers but talking to the team/family/trainers gives you an insight of the team

I don't mind it. It can be interesting to hear from different people, gets boring less quick and you see more to the game. The bigger name fighters and players we've already seen loads from and are just boring really.

One's I hate are when someone's amateur career is referred to as 'glittering' and any case of 'starlet' being applied to a boxer. I've seen 'Team GB starlet' way too many times.

Presume they dont pay so therfore unless the boxer wants to promote his next fight or attract some attention then why would they bother .
its just a way of making dosh off you tube - the stupid thing is that if I watch a few of these vids I just skip past the ads anyway and frankly cant remember what the last ad was I saw anyway !
you tube dont pay them for such poor TV

I think you just have to look at the popularity of Ksi v Paul fight, two guys that sell their lives to youtubers who in turn are invested in whatever they choose to do. In the same way lots of people like Dave Allen it's not that any of them are exceptionally talented subscribers feel like they know them and are on the journey with them.

Its all well and good just getting your face out there in the last couple of weeks before a fight but at that point your boring and regimented in camp and are then solely results based. Which is how it should be, but looking at the views of Tommy Fury's interview compared to the other raw beef offers available and despite dreadful fights and results Dave Allen still has a loyal base, it appears putting yourself out there is why they should bother.
