Again, anybody who considers watching this tomorrow, I barely know who anybody is but they are good fights. The undercard is worth finding on YouTube

well Wallin looking full of courage in the dressing room.
Looks grey and wishing for a quick death.

So it’s terrible National national anthems again. Wallin looking terrified, Fury looking huge and swaggering around in a cape
The USA anthem? fornicate OFF... What is this sh*t?

Otto Wallin stinks. That cut was horrendous from round 2 and he never really landed a clean shot on it until r12. Fury was there for the taking.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
Nasty pair of cuts I wonder if it'll push the Wilder fight back.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
Might do. People heal at different rates. Fury will be in a position to throw a lot of money at surgery and recovery if he wants to speed things up a bit but realistically I can't see him doing head sparring this year.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
Lol so his easy fight proved to be anything but
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
Top heavies need to just fight right now. Joshua already lost and every fight must have their promoters in cardiac arrest.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
I had Fury winning 118-112, by far his worst showing since the comeback, taking nothing away from Wallin I gave him a couple of rounds and a share of a couple more, he put in a terrific effort, cut Fury bad early with a left hand and TBH if it was Wallin who was cut like that by a punch I imagine it would've been stopped it was pretty gruesome, it was a mountain to climb for Wallin trying to breach the height and reach difference of Fury
Fury came on stronger in the second half but he was pretty flat all night I thought, he struggled with the southpaw stance and smaller height of Wallin, not to mention the fact Wallin actually gave it a bit of a go, Fury just looked like he wasn't at the races, the cut mustve played a part as I said it was a bad one, he tried switching early on but it never done anything for him, he was lazy and a few rounds nothing happened especially early on, he started to put meat on his shots down the stretch when Wallin tired but he never looked like stopping Wallin apart from maybe his corner saving him
I wouldn't write Fury's obituary just yet he still won wide and even his pre exile career was littered with a few sub par performances but what I will say is fight by fight the respect Fury got for the Wilder showing must be dwindling especially with the Americans surely

That's the problem with these tick over fights. Even thought the ability gap may be large the A side can easily get injured delaying the fights people care about.
I'm very sceptical the wilder fight is anywhere near done as well. The Ortiz rematch still hasn't been announced.

I wonder if he's overtraining. He seems to be obsessive about it at the mo.
Or maybe it was simply Otto not reading the script.
Either way, it was a good fight
Wish I had got the POV

Overtraining ? Look at the state of him , what sort of training do you do to get big lumps of lard floating around your sides ?
Doesn't seem to affect him to much though and still won comfortably if you take the cut out of the equation .
Mind you ,if we believe he's as good as what he tells us he is he should be beating Wallin with ease .

Fury dines out a huge size advantage, he's never been very good in truth, which is why i suspect he even ducked David Price in a career of cherry picks with only 2 notable matchups.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
He can hardly help his size in fairness. And when it's mattered he's been very good.Ricky wrote: ↑15 Sep 2019, 07:47rd350lc wrote: ↑15 Sep 2019, 07:09

hes always going to look like that. Doesn't mean he's not putting in the work or fit as a fiddle.rd350lc wrote: ↑15 Sep 2019, 07:09Overtraining ? Look at the state of him , what sort of training do you do to get big lumps of lard floating around your sides ?

It's too simplistic to write off Fury's career as two notable match ups and a lot of dross.Ricky wrote: ↑15 Sep 2019, 07:47rd350lc wrote: ↑15 Sep 2019, 07:09

Particularly when you consider the results in his 2 notable match ups which I would suggest are better than the 2 most notable match ups of his peers
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
Don't recall him being very good on too many occasions , his second fight with Chisora was a boxing masterclass , his fight with Wilder he was very good , but other than that at the higher level doesn't look amazing to me .
Don't include the hugfest with Klitschko as a good performance as he only did slightly more nothing than Klitschko for me .
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin - 14 September 2019
Its not simplistic at all, especially considering that better opponents have always been available than the ones he's chosen to fight. I've more respect for Hughie who has taken on Parker Povetkin and Pulev.
