Re: Errol Spence vs. Shawn Porter - September 28, 2019
Mario Barrios and Batyr Akhmedov were ordered more than a month ago by the World Boxing Association (WBA) to negotiate terms for a vacant title fight. Little has since been said about the pairing, but it has resurfaced in a big way.
The evenly matched showdown between unbeaten rising contenders will serve as a preliminary bout to the Sept. 28 welterweight title unification bout between Errol Spence and Shawn Porter, which takes place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
The event will air live on Fox Sports Pay-Per-View, with all participants due to meet the press for a late morning session Tuesday in Los Angeles. Also on hand will be Josesito Lopez and John Molina Jr., both of whom collide in what figures to be a wild battle of California-based welterweight gatekeepers.

Real nice undercard, that doesn't do much for buys but I damn sure appreciate it.

Starts after 6 mins
Re: Errol Spence vs. Shawn Porter - September 28, 2019
I hate Porter's style too. Very ugly and painful to watch. Spence though I think has the power and skill to keep him off of him, and if not will beat him on the inside as well. Porter's bulldog style may end up getting him stopped.

Great card! I may have to show up for this one.

I almost laughed at Porter predicting a 1st round KO. Porter isn't an easy fight for anyone, but he also isn't known for a monster punch. I think Spence has gotten under his skin.

Spence-Porter FOX Countdown Show Drew 604,000 Viewers
An Errol Spence Jr.-Shawn Porter preview show drew more viewers Saturday night than some main events televised this year on basic cable and premium cable.
According to Nielsen Media Research figures released Tuesday, an average of 604,000 viewers watched FOX’s live airing of “PBC Countdown: Errol Spence Jr. Vs. Shawn Porter” on network television. The 30-minute program aired on the East Coast late Saturday night, following FOX’s live telecast of a college football game, Penn State’s 45-13 win over Buffalo, that aired in prime time.
The Penn State-Buffalo game was watched by an average audience of 2,167,000, and thus provided a strong lead-in for the Spence-Porter preview show.
Nevertheless, the viewership Saturday night was higher than for any FOX “Countdown” show in 2019 and the second highest-rated “Countdown” show since the inaugural broadcast December 8. That preview show, for FOX’s December 22 card headlined by Jermall Charlo and Jermell Charlo, attracted an average of 705,000 viewers.

Porter one of my favourite fighters, a real warrior, but Spence is too much for anyone to handle. The great Mayweather would not have stood a chance.
