I saw dirty tactics by both guys, but think Wallin's were of a retaliatory nature. Fury was using elbows, coming in constantly with his head attempting to head butt, and pushing Wallin's head down, attempting to hold and hit.

No surprise it was all allowed with Weeks as ref, the same ref that let Maidana get away with WWE tactics against Floyd. People came to Maidana's defense saying it is not illegal if the ref allows it. Its always looks worse if it is happening to a guy you are cheering for.

..dirty boxing should be minimized where and when possible...point deduction considering the gravity of the situation isn't too much to ask..

It was a physical fight and both guys did what they thought they needed to do to win including some relatively minor rule infractions which neither fighter was deducted any points for. Happens in most fights of that nature, especially over the longer distance.

Calls for disqualifications on this site have gone through the roof recently. Well over the top.

I mean it’s a fight. And it was only chance for a life-changing victory. He wasn’t winning any other way and he knew it. He did what he had to do. The doctor hasnt gonna stop it unless he could see Fury’s brain.

If a cut was caused by a punch (which would result in a TKO)
and the boxer who caused the cut blatantly does something
illegal to make it worse and the fight is stopped, should the fight
go to the score cards ?
If the fight had been stopped even if Wallin had been penalized
he would have won unless he was disqualified.

It was such a silly and so obvious punk move. The ref should have at least warned him and, yes, deducted a point would have been better.

But watch a skillful dirty fighter - Lennox Lewis. Watch the Vitali - Lewis fight in slow motion. Lewis cut Vitali by raking his glove on his face and then spent the whole rest of the fight trying to open it up with his glove laces and by rubbing his head into it. The ref didn't do sh it, and in that case they stopped the fight for a very similar cut that Fury had, except Fury had two cuts, and as in this one Vitali was winning.

Boxing is crooked and the refs and judges know who writes their paychecks and what they want done.

Yeah. Lennox did a great job busting that eye up. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were whining, but I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you're just praising a fine effort from a fine champion.

Still crying after all these years?

I was rooting for Vitali that night. I had no problem with the stoppage or anything Lewis did to get it. Jesus Christ, some of you guys are ridiculous with this fight.

Cut was caused by a punch bud. Get over it.

Stop saying stuff like whining and crying. Be polite like me. I'm bringing it up because of the similarities with this fight.

Sh i t head.

Ha ha only kidding - the last line that is. I could never resist a straight line!

I mean occasionally using dirty tactics is fine by me because it happens accidentaly anyways but relying on them to win , well what does that say about your worth as a fighter? Especially if you dont even win.

If you watch any fight LOOKING for something wrong from a fighter, you'll find it if you want to.
