Obituary for Levi Samuel Billups, Jr.
Chesapeake-Levi Samuel Billups, Jr., 50, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 5, 2011. Levi was a graduate of Maury High School and of Norfolk State University. He was a renowned heavyweight boxer who had fought several international bouts.

Levi leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Katrina; his mother, Vivian Billups and her husband, Joseph Harper; his father, Levy Billups, Sr; his sisters; Wanda Billups (Don), Mary Williams (Gary) and D’Lynn Green (Lafayette) and four brothers; Dennis Billups (Saundra), Marty Billups (Anita), David Billups (Melissa) , Matthew Billups (Dessa) and Timothy Billups (Wendy). He will also be missed by his two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 4 pm until 7 pm at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake, VA. A life celebration service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at New Galilee Baptist Church, 1013 Great Bridge Blvd., Chesapeake, VA where the pastor is Rev. Anderson Foreman. Rev. Nathaniel Paige will deliver the message. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
