Dave Allen also there.
Re: Robbie Davies Jr. vs. Lewis Ritson - 19 October 2019
Davies Jr said in their last card Ritson was staying at the same hotel as him.
When waiting for a lift, Davies claims he tried to make eye contact with Ritson, but Ritson couldn't even look at him.
The beef in this one is at fever pitch, this is genuine bad blood and not just an angle to sell the fight. The fact they truly utterly despise each other so much to the point of ignoring the other lad staring in a hotel lobby adds genuine intrigue to this one, but had it not been for the unbelievable hotel non-eye-contact incident it would just be another boring unremarkable domestic matchup.
I'm so fired up right now

I know they are trying to sell the fight, and it prob works, but Davies isn't coming across well, makes you want to tune in to see him lose.
It was the same for Fowler, dunno if they have the same bloke advising them.

Thomas Hart added to Davies Jr vs. Ritson bill
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/b ... r-17004110
The 24-year-old has a record of two wins from two with one early since turning over back in March.
Hart, a former Team GB man who is being managed by retired former world champion Tony Bellew, was last in action on August 2 at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool when he stopped Ivo Krastev with six seconds to go in the first round.
And he will look to add to his record on October 19, exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN Stateside, after being added to another good show.
Hart, who trains at the Rotunda ABC gym in the city alongside Marcos Molloy and Craig Glover under the tutelage of Joe McNally and Declan O’Rourke, is set to feature at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, as part of the supporting cast to British super-lightweight champion Robbie Davies Jr’s next fight.

Re: Robbie Davies Jr. vs. Lewis Ritson - 19 October 2019
Cracking domestic dust up this, struggling to pick a winner but I'm edging towards Davies Jr, he's the naturally bigger guy and probably technically better than Ritson, still I thought Davies was lucky to get the win over Hughes for the European, I just think Ritson has lost a step since the Patera loss and moving up to Super Lightweight, he's lost the physical advantages he held down at Lightweight like his strength and no doubt his power wont be as effective either, he's only had a couple fights since moving up, a labourous 10 round decision win and an early blow out, both against journeyman
Ritson doesn't like it downstairs, I can see Davies trying to work the body over as Ritson comes forward in the way he only knows how, Ritson still will punch hard enough up at 140 to get respect so Davies cant sleep on him but in a 12 round fight I fancy Davies to come out a points winner

Yes, it's not WWE.KiwiRider wrote: ↑25 Aug 2019, 16:38 Silly this bad blood fake beef stuff.
Its a good matchup, and a good card.
I believe these shows are for true British boxing fans, not casuals. And British boxing fans know a good domestic dust up when they see one![]()
50/50 fights with entertaining fighters sells tickets- Cheese/Fitz/Ritson are all that.
Shove the fake beef up yer arse and put on more cards like this Eddeh![]()
This is a great British title fight and the winner goes on to Euro level.
I@m pretty certain RDJ is the bet here.

Winner will still need to prove themselves at British level IMO..
Ritson smashed his way through the Lighweight British guys, but stepped up to Euro level and got found out.. They tried to fast-track him.
Re: Robbie Davies Jr. vs. Lewis Ritson - 19 October 2019
As you said, he was literally smashing his way through domestic competition. And the loss at his age is nothing. Yes, there is plenty to work on, as you would expect, and it was a good experience, hopefully a learning one.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑14 Oct 2019, 08:46Winner will still need to prove themselves at British level IMO..

I know that Ritson has left no stone unturned for this. Lived like a monk and is definitely a better professional than he was a year ago going into the Patera fight. Cracking fight I’ve had a good bet on Lewis at 4/5. Think Davies will get a shock at how fit and powerful Ritson is on Saturday.

Re: Robbie Davies Jr. vs. Lewis Ritson - 19 October 2019
Followed ritson long before his British title run and he used to box a fair bit in his early bouts, then boom, started knocking folk out early doors and he just started having proper tear ups. Hoping he can win, but I think that the blueprint to beating him is there now and Robbie, no world beater, is savvy enough to do what he needs to. Looks a bit bigger naturally as well so ritsons power might not be the factor it would have been at lightweight. Still hope Lewis knocks the gobby pudendum out.
