Hearns by confident decision or even stoppage. He was far more skilled and sharp, Hopkins' dirty tricks wouldn't work there.

I think Bernard could pull off a close split verdict here.

No way, he'd have to stop him.

Hopkins was as tall as Tommy and only short on reach by 3". I can't help feel that Hopkins could outbox Tommy and avoid the big right hand. I'd love to see this one.

Well, Bernard knows enough tricks to derail middleweight version of Thomas. If Kinchen can give Tommy hear, so can Bernard.

Hearns by UD, but Bernard would have his moments, and knowing him would probably cry robbery afterward.

The best middleweight hearns was the Jr middle hearns and the monster that smashed andries at 75. His legs were never the same dropping back down after that.

He only lost one fight (admittedly the crushing by Barkley at MW) after andries for like 3 years before going full at 175.

He's a legend, Barkley was more a hail Mary than a crushing. I don't know how Barkley survived that thrashing to land it.

Tommy is a legend to be sure. Barkley had his 'incredible' moments. Like going from a 3 rd TKO over hearns to getting KD on his way to losing a SD to fat and old Duran 6 months later. (Iran's ko over Coetzee at HW was fun.)

Duran wasn't fat for that one. Barkley fought really well that night.

Is it the great Bernard Hopkins tough enough to beat someone like the great Tommy Hearns? I don't think so. I will pick The Hitman over The Executioner on this one by decision.
