The Persoon fight was one of the clearest robberies of recent years.

I care that she didn't immediately rematch Persoon, like she said she would.
All my respect for her went out he window at the announcement of this upcoming fight.

I don't care , If she won or lost ,,, In Fact i don't much care for womens boxing full stop. some may call me a chauvanist , a dinosoar , or other such rubbish ,,, But i still open doors for women , I still pull out a chair at a table for women , i still like women to look pretty and wear pretty little micro mini's with flowers on them , So all in all womens boxing Naaaaw i don't care .

You are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to value less the opinion of those that aren't intelligent enough to able to spell correctly whilst setting out their prejudices.
For what it's worth I think she lost the fight but I think it's an overexaggeration to describe it as a robbery, it was close and I think KT got it on reputation more than what she did in the ring that night. The sooner its rerun the better although irrespective I think Amanda Serrano will turn her over

She also shouldn’t have an Olympic gold medal either. Helps having a large profile, especially in women’s boxing.

That's probably a big part of it. Women's boxing has so few names, one of them losing would be a big problem.

That's pure bollox Mate, was tight I agree but just because Taylor didn't totally dominate ochigava like every one expects her too doesn't mean she lost.

Melodramatic conclusion imo. If you thought she lost, fair enough, but this websites inappropriate overuse of the word "robbery" is robbing it of all meaning. Any close or differently interpreted fight is determined robbery on here

I can’t watch women’s boxing and I doubt I’ll ever be able to. But good luck to all of them.

I don't think i'll ever get into womans boxing mainly as its hard enough trying to keep up with the men but really I like to watch good fights and Taylor vs Persoon was a cracker so i'll watch the rematch, I do tend to fast forward womans boxing if ive taped it but as I say I look forward to the rematch

Women's Boxing desperately needs to protect it's stars. Because there really aren't any, there's just a small handful that they're trying to convince people are.

The talk of Katie Taylor being a P4P type talent comparable to the Men was comedy gold.

Not a huge fan of most women's boxing but its for the same reason I'm not a fan of most female mma, just because of the gulf in talent between those at the top of the division & the rest is staggering & often leads to disappointing mismatches. But when its the better fighters facing each other its as good as the men, Nunes vs. Cyborg (UFC) & Taylor vs Persoon are great examples.

This is the first I'm hearing that there's no rematch. I think calling it a robbery is stretching things (and seems to get brought out after every close fight nowadays) although I certainly had Persoon winning. A rematch of a close fight between the best of the division is the sort of fight that could highlight how good women's boxing actually is.

Yes this is a huge part of it. I always say this to people when it comes up. Watch Laila Ali's fights for instance. She has proper boxing technique. Good jab, good movement, the whole nine. And she's fighting girls that punch like they're throwing a baseball half the time.

The fact that she avoided Anne Wolfe which was for a long time the only fight in Women's Boxing I gave a sh*t about seeing left a bad taste in my mouth on Women's Boxing for a while to come.

Wolfe was pretty basic but a complete dog of a fighter. I think Laila thought she was going to outclass Wolfe and she was supposed to fight the winner of Wolfe vs Vonda Ward but after Wolfe absolutely starched Ward, Laila started ducking. It was pretty shameful ducking.

I had it 96-94 for Persoon, i think a draw would be the most generous acceptable result for Taylor, 97-93 Persoon to 95-95 would have been acceptable imo.
