How many brain damaged boxers can you list who have never been knocked out?

Lyle was a Heck of a story teller. They could have just let the cameras roll and I would have tuned in.

Parkinson's isn't caused by head trauma. It's primarily genetic.

You can't convince me it wasn't from his boxing career.

Can you do me a favour oog, can you go to the off topic section and make a post asking for reccomendations for books with detailed accounts/descriptions of warfare, like from the perspective of someone on the field of battle. Can be any wars, just curious about it. I can't post in OT

Why doesn't every Boxer have Parkinkson's disease then? A lot of 'em get hit a hell of a lot more than Ali did.

I've read reports in years past that had Ali suffering from symptoms of Parkinson's brought on by too many blows to the head.
I shall look further into it as it's been a lot of years.

Mechanisms do exist through which traumatic brain injury, or TBI, might lead to Parkinson's. Head trauma can increase inflammation, which plays a role in the disease.Jun 10, 2016

Ali's parkinson's was genetics + head blows. If he didn't have parkinson's, he would've been relatively fine. Anyone genetically predisposed to parkinson's who has a moderately violent boxing career is going to be disabled in their twilight years. If McCall doesn't have a predisposition to parkinson's, then he isn't going to become Ali.

Parkinson's would've already been showing itself by now if he was gonna get it I believe. McCall that is.

That being said Pugilistic Dementia has gotta be a real possibility for him.

As I previously posted, I'm speaking head shots as a cause, not that Parkinson's is not genetic. Of course it is. SMH.

this guy had crack issues way back in 94 when he fought Lennox.
he was no spring chicken back then

allowing him to fight is despicable.
