HW Prospect Hines set for two fights in 4 weeks

American heavyweight prospect Roney Hines is set for October 5th and then November 1st against unnamed opponents.

The 6'6" and 230 LB Hines (24 y/o) is 7-0 with 5 kayos. These two fights will make six bouts in 2019.

Seems like he’s about 20 years younger than our average heavyweight.

He beat Grover Young who is better than his record. If this guy is the real deal, Ogiebe got the IPO early. :OhYes:

:lol: Been tracking him since his am days. Potential is there, but hasn't shown anything "special" yet. I think he develops into a really decent HW.

I like HWs who are superb in at least one area. If he's very good, will it be extreme power, speed, defensive ability?

He has decent power, but it's his movement that is really good. He is light and fluid on his feet, especially for a big man. Haven't been challenged enough to rate his defense. Overmatched opponents so far.

You're right Oogie. His pro debut is the only thing I could find on YouTube for him. The opponent is a total scrub but the lanky 6'6" Hines moves well for a big guy & shows good handspeed. Roney has potential...
