Reminds me of Porter's last fight: You didn't have to know anything about the two guys to just look at their names and know who the judges would favor.

Did Akmedov remind anyone of Avanti Kurtzie?

Dirrel doing well. Benavidez pressure at this stage is ineffective to win him those rounds, he’s not landing enough. We’ll see if the pressure get to Dirrel in the coming rounds.

Tough to score, Benavidez looks in charge, but you're right he's "assuming" he's winning these rounds, rather than taking them.

39-37 for me.

Rd 5 to bena. The 20 second flurry was impressive.

Any judge scoring this like AMs - just on number - then Dirrell is winning.

Very close rd 6. No one is dominating the other at this stage. Pretty even fight. Oh man dirrel has a terrible cut on par with Tyson fury.

R7 bena takes the first half then dirrel goes for it after seeing the doctor. Even.

Best round so far by bena rd8. Some vicious body shots landed and last minute flurries.

R9 bena was dominating. Punching dirrel around the ring. My stream cut out unfortunately.

Got it back and the fight was over. Bena stops dirrel. My take, very strong fighter but can be outboxed.

If you took Callum Smith and Dave Benavidez back in time to, say, the 1930s or 50s and said this is the size of 168lbers in the future, they couldn't believe it.
They'd be heavies 100 years ago !

Speaking of Callum Smith. That would be a good fight. I’d favour Callum.

Like you said, Benavidez can be outboxed and Smith is a quality boxer. Smith for me too :TU:

Sleepy/Porter now!

Sleepy will most likely take this. But I'd like to see an upset.

Every week i watch fights from America and every week I'm amazed at the amount of fights that go on longer than need be. John Molina is a shit fighter who take the kind of beating that can lead to serious brain damage - and let's not mention the fact he was down for the 10 count in round 1. Dirrels eyelid was hanging off ffs, wtf did the ref and doctors think was going to happen with that? Maybe a few more left hooks will help it heal. it's about time these refs, doctors and cornermen got fined for letting bouts go on longer than need be.

He does always look sleepy doesn't he, lol I was just thinking that today. Maybe the droopy eyelids.

Great fighter though, should be fairly routine

Haha sleepy from the 7 dwarfs. Very fitting! Spence can also look like a young kid and old man depending on the angle lol.
