Come from behind knockouts
Re: Come from behind knockouts
One of the all time most obvious ones
Rocky Marciano vs Jersey Joe Walcott
Joe Louis vs Billy Conn as well.

Wow! Never seen that one before. Epic. Thanks!
Re: Come from behind knockouts
I don't know if it fits into this category but the first Castillio V Corrales fight was fairly even on points going into the 10th round and the momentum of the fight definitely swung in Castillio favour with the two knockdowns and the point deduction. Corrales looked finished and needed a miracle and by God he got one.

Isn't the thing that the ref is supposed to wait for a lull in action to call time? Clearly there wasn't a lull there until Weeks stepped in
Re: Come from behind knockouts
Nah...Ali was in control of that fight. Even at best at the time of the stoppage.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑01 Oct 2019, 12:37Hmmm, good question. Technically it was, but I wouldn’t call it that (it that makes senseDirk Kelly wrote: ↑01 Oct 2019, 11:25 Would you call Ali knocking out Foreman as a come from behind?)
Re: Come from behind knockouts
Weaver over Tate was my favorite as I had no hope for Weaver who was outfought in every way imaginable and being last second KO made it all the come from behind.
Graham vs Jackson was classic. Oh what a right!
Castillo vs Corrales.
Marciano vs Walcott I. The greatest right hand ever thrown. The Rock was behind on all scorecards.

Bit of a smelling salts row breaking about that resultmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑01 Oct 2019, 10:40 On the weekend Azinga Fuzile boxed Shavkat Rakimov's head off for 7.5 rounds, only to then get brutally folded in the 8th
I have always liked this type of outcome for the pure drama of such a big turn of events.
Any come from beind you can think of , no matter what the level, list here so I can note it![]()

Re: Come from behind knockouts
The best and most dramatic for me was when Sugar Shane Moseley knocked out Ricardo Mayorga with only 1 second left of the 12th round
was literally unbelievable, 2:59 secs of final round, it was a close fight, I personally had Mayorga just ahead and winning and pretty sure the judges did too from my memory

Castro VJackson by a mile
It was so one sided for so long, painful to watch actually but in all my years following the sport this fight was the ultimate turnaround.

Re: Come from behind knockouts
As far as Brits are concerned, Carl Thompson turned it around massively against Sebastian Rothman.

My favourite was Ryan Rhodes Vs Jamie Moore.
Rhodes had lost every round, but wasn’t getting beaten up. The one punch that started it was beautifully timed. Great fight. May watch it again now.

Re: Come from behind knockouts
Was it andy lee against John Jackson? Lee was getting walked threw and threw a beautiful shot and stopped him badly. I'm sure it's that fight.
Re: Come from behind knockouts
He was losing even wider than that to Korobov, wasn't as emphatic a KO, but he was further behind on the cards.
I'm not sure but he may have been behind against Craig McEwan as well right? Or at least they were even.

Agree with the Froch v Taylor shout. Incredible drama.
And Danny Williams pulling it out of the bag against Mark Potter with a dislocated right shoulder was amazing.
I always liked Kennedy McKinney's turnaround stoppage over Junior Jones.

Nicky Piper's loss to Leonzer Barner, from memory Piper was winning.
Toney vs Nunn.
Pernell Whitaker vs Diosbelys Hurtado (especially notable due to the lack of stoppage wins Whitaker had).
Balboa vs everyone.
