Luis Nery links up with trainer Freddie Roach

Renowned trainer Freddie Roach has a new fighter in former WBC bantamweight champion, Luis Nery. The duo started working today at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California. Nery is a talented and troubled boxer, having missed weight in title fights and testing positive for PED's. Thus far in 2019 after inking a deal with the PBC he has stopped McJoe Arroyo in four rounds in March, and then back on July 20 he halted Juan Carlos Payano in nine. There is a good chance that he will be added to the Deontay Wilder-Luis Ortiz pay-per-view card on November 23rd.
