For a guy that needs time to heal that eye. And time to train for his rematch with Fury he's wasting time with wrestling

Fight with Wilder is still likely at minimum 6 months off. He's got time to heal, and train and all that. This probably helps market the rematch if anything. Several people will have just heard of him for the first time, and will be looking him up to see who he is. Whether or not they care to keep watching is anyone's guess, but I'm sure a lot of people heard of him for the first time for appearing on there.

Now he’s due to appear on Raw.
That's the only sold out arena Fury's ever gonna see.

The funny thing is apparently this is a build up to something going on in Saudi Arabia on their WWE show on October 31st, so he looks to have beaten Joshua and Eddie to their millions

Some of Tyson’s views will fit in perfectly in Saudi Arabia

Smart move, it builds his profile and taps into a different fanbase. Fury has a good 5 years or more left in boxing if he wants it. He is tapping into a young fanbase where many off them will be, or will soon to be, merging into watching real fights and moving away from the fake wrestling. He can only gain in popularity from this.

WWE just trying to rehash the Mike Tyson - Steve Austin angle from 1998 last night, I thought it was pathetic, about 20 pull apart brawls when one big one was all that was needed.

So apparently Tyson and Brawn Strowman are having a 'fight' on the Crown Jewel card from Saudi on October 31st

CBS own Fox & Showtime - so it’s a bit of cross-selling going on.

I’m sure a few WWE fans might pick up Fury’s next PPV and vice versa, so it’s good business.

I’d never heard of that wrestler tbh, and there’s probably WWE fans who’d never heard of Fury either.

Fury is the perfect fit for this type of daft stuff :D

On Sky Sports News the other day, they were like; "This isn't the first time that boxers have been involved with wrestling." Then they showed footage of Floyd's match against The Big Show. I was like; "That wasn't the first time either." Then they showed Mike Tyson hamming around with Steve Austin and D-X. I was like; "That wasn't the first time either."

I was wondering if they'd go back as far as Muhammad Ali vs Muhammad ali vs Inoki.

Well exactly.

Even in the early 1990s where they were reluctant to admit it was staged, everybody had already worked this out many years previously. People were catching on in the 1980s.

Since the McMahon steroid trial in 1994, where Hogan admitted it under oath, there hasn't really been any point even trying to pretend it's a legitimate sporting event.

Revealing wrestling is pre-determined is like revealing that Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't a terminator from the future or revealing that Sylvester Stallone isn't a heavyweight boxer called Rocky Balboa.
