I am slowly getting tired of this sport. A fan since 1985 and now, I am losing my love for it and find Hearn is behind so much of what I dislike.

He says "I will never work with a drug cheat" then signs drug cheats. He covers up for cheats, he outs other guys for cheating, he even jumped in to a Jarrell Miller interview on Saturday night and said how much he likes him and they will work together.

Man is utter scum and is damaging the integrity of this sport.
And yeah since saying he'll never work with drug cheats again...

Whyte, BJS, Canelo, Galahad probably countless others
And there are ones he uses on promotions but they are not in the stable.

Biggest example being Povetkin.

When he was slammed for having him fight AJ, he made it clear he could not abide cheats but had to put the fight on as he was a mandatory. Ok, so that was put out of the way and so one would assume he would not use him again, ya know, cos he was not being forced to, and future use is instead a choice........

You make a good point...

Yeah ok the mandatory thing you could get away with but he's practically a Matchroom fighter now. His drug taking is state funded, up there almost with Miller

Tell me what promoter is helping the sport integrity then?, at least Hearn is vocal about drug cheats and them being banned for life, PEDs are that rife its impossible to be a top level promoter without dealing with them at some point
He's vocal yet works with more drugs cheats than any other promoter??
He has a much bigger stable and puts on dozens more shows a year than all the other top guys around, by the law of averages and the amount of cheats in boxing, it's pretty clear that would be the case, maybe he should keep quiet like Al, Warren, Oscar and Bob

I mean, that's not the point. If you outright say in 788645467 interviews with ifl how much drugs cheats should be banned for life then you put on so many drugs cheats, you're a first class pudendum

I am confused as you normally seem a level headed kind of chap. You cannot see the problem with Eddie Hearn promoting drug cheats, having said he wouldn't? You cannot see how this damages the sport? I am not asking you to compare him to others, asking in pure isolation.

Nah I can see where youz are coming from but what gets me is why Eddie has to be the one gets most heat, Spong pisses hot and your first reply is to blame Hearn, Frank came out and justified matching Miller with Fury as he isn't banned, Oscar was complicit in Canelo's cheating even making sure he had a bullshit statement to release before Canelo was exposed and I wouldnt trust Haymon as far as I could throw him

The Whyte saga leaves a bad taste but the BBBC allowed him to fight so I'll give him the benefit just now , sure Hearn can be a hypocrite like them all but I direct most of my disgust at the cheating scumbags

He did literally just ask 'in pure isolation' to be fair mate. Hearn's problem is his big mouth puts him in the firing. The hypocrisy is ridiculous

Oleksandr Usyk shouldn't be taking a huge leap backwards in his career to face journeyman opponents like Chazz Witherspoon.

The Ukraine isn’t going to gain much from this fight. And it’s not as if this bout allows him to acclimatize to his new weight class, since the fleshy American is fairly small for a heavyweight.

I guess it’s a stay-busy bout that will provide Usyk with another knockout to add to his highlight-reel.

Gimme a break. Hearn was quiet on Whyte's failed test until it was outed by the BS writer. I hate him because he thinks we're all dumb enough to be fooled by him. He's a filthy hypocrite. I.E. a promoter.

I didn't like the way the Whyte situation was played out, Rivas should've been informed but if you think Eddie stands out as any worse than any other top promoter then your mental, theyre all hypocrites really, it sounds good to ban any busted fighter on your show but what can you do if a boxer has served a ban, lenient or otherwise and works his way back into contention?

Its like when DAZN/Golden Boy offered Fielding the Canelo fight, you surely cant expect any promoter to flat out refuse their guy a once in a lifetime opportunity, the onus is on the Boards, Commissions and ABCs to get tough on these cheating rats

As the opponent has changed I think its maybe a good idea to change it on the headlining post so we can still carry on with one thread regarding this fight.

Chazz Witherspoon is not the worst opponent in the world. He has been fairly active I suppose against middling opponents with generally winning records.

He was regarded as a contender until he got ran over by Seth Mitchell (what happened to him? Vanished after Arreola loss)

Usyk is hot property and should outbox and halt Chazz by the midpoint in a fairly workmanlike fight.
