Boxing vrs WWE?

How do we all feel about the transition as of late. We look at the Ksi v Logan Paul, Tyson Fury on smackdown, Nigel Benn comeback, Tunde Adaji and is this how boxing personalities are gonna go. A new generation. I watched that press conference and cringed and it seems the importance of talent has totally escaped the minds of promotion and it's all about clicks on the internet. Worrying times.

Me too,its a farce and its killing the sport i know,in fact the internet is killing the world i know.

A loud personality can sell in Boxing, and a quiet, but vicious and talented guy can sell in Boxing too.

The Loud personality probably talks people into the building easier, but regardless of personality, you're only gonna keep 'em coming back if you entertain and get it done in the ring.

I’m sure people said the same when Ali first came onto the scene At the end of the day, it’s easy enough to ignore all the hype and nonsense that’s currently surrounding boxing. I just watch the fights these days, find it increasingly difficult to get interested in the personalities involved so tend to skip most of the ‘build-up’.

I'm sure it was sunny Edwards who put on his twitter what's the point in sacrificing all there life in the gym when he could have just made a you tube channel. Hearns answers about how it brings new fans to boxing and so on.... who's pockets will be lined? As much as I hate allegedly hes bang on about subscriptions for Dazn. Only goes downhill from here. These guys should not even be licensed to fight, selling it on no head guards and someone is gonna get knocked out, yes someone is gonna get hurt you have novices fighting in small gloves with no head guards....its worse than white collar.

I don't really have a problem with Tyson Fury being in WWE. If he's happy to do it, why not?

It'll get him exposure, may even have some new fans tuning into his next fights. So what? He's not the first boxer to get involved in wrestling, it's been happening since the 1970s.

The Ksi v Logan Paul thing was a bit of annoyance. Why would people want to watch two people who aren't trained boxers have a fight like that? Would you want to watch two people who'd never played tennis before compete at Wimbledon? Or in any other sport? Why are people interested in two 'celebrities' fighting, who have only just taken up the sport. Kind of seems odd to me. But then, what am I going to do about it?

The Freddie Flintoff thing was fine with me though. I watched the documentary where he trained, and he seemed to be taking it quite seriously. And you could tell how tough he was finding it all. He wasn't just messing around making it look like a doss. And then he just ended up on an undercard, not some big main event fight.

Floyd vs Connor felt a bit annoying,

Mainly because it was treated like an actual fight. Also, there was a lot of "pundits" on TV news stations who were talking a lot of cack about boxing.

It's been happening longer than that my friend.

Bob Fitzsimmons wrestled in between Boxing matches. Of course it was probably legit back then, but he used as a form of training.

Joe Louis wrestled briefly after his Boxing career.

Archie Moore had a Boxing match with "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibease's father Mike Dibease. It was a Boxer vs Wrestler match.

So there's been a lot of crossover between the two sports over the years.

Once upon a time they were the 2 biggest sports in the country, and magazines discussing news of the happenings in both sports were often in the same magazine.

Think the problem is perspective. We aren't interested because it's not our world. The world of YouTube celebrities is bizarre to me but then I'm not it's target so why should they care. If they can sell a million ppvs at a tenner a pop then good luck to them I guess. I'm not gonna watch and they won't expect me to.

My biggest issue is that they then try and cross pollinate that with a BJS fight which I would quite like to watch. KSI/Logan Paul fans won't have any interest in that so why not just make it a full card of interest to them and leave the fights we are interested in on platforms we don't have to pay to access
